We could also blame hd fps games for not having ir controlls or mouse and keyboard but again it wouldnt be right.

This is a console exclusive game and should be rewieved in comparison with other games on said console.

The only time its right to compare games crossconsoles in a review is if it is a multiplatform game and all other game comparisons should be left for fanboys to compare in forums like this not in a review thats supposed to be proffesional and made by a proffesional.

it's just one review, and it got a good score. And he said he didnt like the graphics, infomous and prototype got point deducted for not looking stellar, big deal.

I don't like the graphics in that game either, it's more like something you'd have to get used to because I really hate the art style, but can you honestly tell me that you didn't see anything wrong or a contradiction or 2 in that review when you read it? normally it's fine if it's just some shitty blog, this is a bigger publisher, it's his job, so of course people would take it more seriously. I don't know how inFamous can look bad to some people btw, if anything the problem is with the game play mechanics, it looks fine imo, Protoype has both graphical issues and game play issues but I like how accurate the movements are at least.

That shouldnt be in any review proffesional or not.

He basicly says the game looks like crap... and to be honest, its not exactly the best looking Wii game (although it makes Golden Eye look like SMB)

Black on PS2 looks better than it imo.

And, not to mension 5hours 13 minutes to beat it... on his first time through, is rather shocking. People were complaining about Terminator: Salvation, why not about this?

Honestly, I think that people are mad about this review and people are defending the reviewer based on completely different things ...

When a movie is comming out to DVD/Blu-Ray a lot of people have an increased interest in reading reviews about the movie because they are debating buying or renting the movie, and many papers/magazines/websites publish reviews because of this. When people read these reviews they want to know whether the content of the movie was entertaining and worth their money, and they don't want to hear a movie reviewer complain about how their review copy was on DVD when Blu-Ray is such a superior format.

If you're doing a head-to-head between multiple versions of a game people will want to know how one version stacks up against another version in order to know which version they should buy if they have the choice; in a review that is focused on a particular version of a game (or an exclusive game) there is almost no reason to bring up another system.

The core problem with the review was the time the reviewer should have been writing about the customization of controls, and the online multiplayer was spent talking about things that have no place in a videogame review. Someone who is reading the review is probably someone who owns the system the game is for and is perfectly happy with their decision to buy the system; its a pretty big dick-move to write a review which (basically) talks down to them and implies that they're idiots for purchasing the system. The behavior of the reviewer would be very similar to having a reviewer talk about how the PS3 is really expensive and you don't get any value for it over buying an XBox 360, or about how the reviewer is always unsure of whether he will complete his review before the 360 red-rings.

Well i think the reviewer is a prick. I agree with Zen on this. I hate injustices too and he should lose his job. Also, i hope he is reading this.

The art style is totally crap imo, I've been saying that since day 1 actually, I was always hyped about the control for a console game. I don't know what difficulty he was playing on but it was probably pussy beta build mode, put any game on a relatively easy setting and skipping cut scenes will result in finishing the game faster, not to mention his build wasn't the final so the AI might act differently as well. btw Black doesn't nearly look as nice as The Conduit when in motion, not to mention that game is darker in general, making it easier to cheat the system where Quantum 3 is all real power.

I am a PS3 owner, i know about insults, you guys are making a huge deal out of nothing. What's sad is gamepro got more popular and hits because fanboys went crazy over a game. The biggest issue should be the fact he did not play the full game, yet the focus is on the shot on the wii, give me a break.
