Forums - Gaming Discussion - How would you feel if someone gave Killzone2 a 7 without seeing multiplayer

This [Killzone 2] is an average, generic experience. For all its lofty ambitions and hype it is an unbelievable failure, a real disappointment for all PlayStation 3 owners.

But at least he ignorantly blamed the game, and not the PS3.

I don't need your console war.
It feeds the rich while it buries the poor.
You're power hungry, spinnin' stories, and bein' graphics whores.
I don't need your console war.

NO NO, NO NO NO.

I never had a subscription, and I haven't purchased a Gamepro magazine since 1996, and I'm glad.

Used to subscribe to Nintendo Power until it became Pokemon Monthly in the late 90's/early 00's.

You know I was always wondering why no one ever used the dollar sign for $ony, but then I realized they have no money so it would be pointless.

Oh common... this is way to much fuss about a single review... If you like the concept of the game, and you see it as one that would fit your gaming tastes ( judging by the previews, reviews and if there are demos) then buy the game... whatever that game is...

The most you can loose is 50-60$ and even during recession its not and absurd ammount...

He said to not buy the game because it was on the Wii. How would you feel if he said not to buy a game because it was on the PSP?

Put on the other shoe and see how you would feel, sir.

Lots of reviewers already say that.

None with a magazine, and none that anyone would actually count when listing reviews. I saw someone roast, I think Prototype, because of a gamepro review the other day. It is a cited source from a lot of people, and NO review was this blatant about blaming the Wii that I read, though I'm not sure. Post some, and I'll make a thread about them too.

I don't think people should flame a game because it is on a certain console. ANY console. I can't stay silent for that. Even if it was a console I hated.

But why do you care so much... every normal person knows whats the Wii capable of and what developers are able to make for it... its ONE review from waht will be at least 60... if the game is so good it will have a high score on meta anyways ;) I doubt that anybody gets their games based on ONE review or they choose their console on one guys opinion ;)

Hes an ass but lets face it mostly core gamers read reviews, and they will judge it from other, more reliable source anyways. And other people will only buy it because it has a futuristick soldier on its cover :P

I would say f**k him, Im going out and buying it... especially if it would be a game as Conduit, meaning that great gameplay and solid graphics even tough no real story element for me... see I can tel all this from not even reading a single review, and one reviewer never made me change my mind about purchasing a game, even if they give it a 1/10 and say that its a piece of crap ;)

I agree with you. :)

I was just thinking that some people do still believe in reviews(not me) and don't understand when they are full of crap. People shouldn't get away with things like this, when they are billing themselves as professionals.

Remember when Maxim got caught flaming reviews of CDs while only listening to the singles from those CDs? The guy got fired. This is worse. It's like admitting you only heard the single, and flaming the CD because Sony published it, in a review you submitted to metacritic.

I agree with you and I wish they could be sued for this so they learn their lesson.

I care because I believe in justice and injustice, and in my eyes, this is an injustice. If I can stop injustice, I will. That is why I live. It is no trouble or bother to me to stand for justice.

Yea. Many PSP games, usually PS2 transitions, have issues that are blamed on the PSP for being limiting in the technical sense.

They too, are injustices. I noticed you said issues. Is this Gamepro blaming the PSP as well?

It's one thing mentioning some issues a game has when coinciding with certain hardware, but it is another thing entirely, marginalzing a game and completely flaming it, based on hardware. The gamepro review was aimed at Nintendo Wii, and not The Conduit.

No actually, Gamepro has generally been quite positive and fair with PSP...
