Reasons are:
- House in Japan is very small. Natal might requiere a lot of space to work properly.
- Japanese is anti-American product (X360 sells well but still need Japanese games support)
- Needs Jap Dev support to be success

I have low expectations for Natal's reception in the Japanese market place. Non-Japanese tech just doesn't sell. Maybe I'm off target, but can somebody provide an example of non-Japanese products that have done really well?

LOL...I was thinking tech, but yeah...Bob Sapp is pretty huge in Japan, as are African bodyguards at club...I was like...WTF! Anyway, I know a guy over there who kid was in a music video...the kid is 4 and blond, so some popular Japanese singer wanted him for the video...I saw it, and it makes no sense as to why the kid is in it...but he is blond.

Ooooohhh...even MMO's aren't that big in Japan...WoW isn't Huge there like in the rest of Asia even...Japanese consumers just like homegrown shit...nothing wrong with that...so just don't have expectations that they will buy tons of Xbox stuff. The knock on Xbox 360 was that it had poor reliability...the original Xbox had EXCELLENT reliability, but the knock on that was that it had a short lifespan....HUH?

my opinion, it may or may not do well because why? cuz most Japanese i feel don't like anything Microsoft that has 360 on it, they have this national pride, you think Caucasians are racist NOPE. ASIANS are the most racist, i'm asian i know. many asians are reverse racist-meaning they hate their own kind. for example at my school the Vietnamese have thier own click, the chinese have thier own click, and the hmong have thier own click, you see how all three groups are asians yet divide them self's apart, you dont see that crap happening amongst Caucasians. anyway aback to the topic i think i might not work than work. peace!

When I traveled to Japan last summer I was forwarned of this, but I was shocked how well we were treated there. We even made Japanese friends staying there only two weeks, and no, it wasn`t a bull**** school trip.
The biggest racists in the world are emigrants in my opinion.
Because a country prefers home-made toys don`t make them racists.
It`s all about beeing enlightened.
I don't think Natal will do much at all for M$ anywhere. The eyetoy already does what it does and it isnt making the PS3 sell any more.
