They are loosing... not us. So why care about them?

Daemon Hatfield used to work on IGN's Nintendo Channel. There were quite a few people that had issues with the way he approached/discussed/reviewed games on the Wii. Mr. Hatfield no longer works on the Nintendo Channel, but is still a part of IGN.

Now that he's off the Channel and onto something different, he let's loose with some opinions concerning the Wii. This conversation from the GameScoop podcast includes Hilary Goldstein and Levi Buchanan. You can download the show here and have a listen for yourself.

@42:50

Levi: But if you're a Nintendo fan, how could you have been unhappy that morning.

Daemon: Because the Wii is stupid, Levi. No, because any games that are coming out for the Wii are going to be dumb.

Hilary: The truth comes out now that he's not on Nintendo.

Daemon: Yeah, the Wii is stupid. Super Mario Galaxy 2 will be another great game that should be controlled with dual analog sticks.

@ 43:25

Quote:
Hilary: The problem with me for Nintendo Conference is that no matter how awesome the game is that they announce, the fact of the matter is that I don't even really care to hook up my Wii anymore. It's been unhooked since Mario Galaxy came out, and I don't really find anything that interests me in playing it anymore.

Daemon: I know. Like even when they make a great game like Mario Galaxy I don't want to hold the Wii remote. It's stupid.

Hmmm someone has some anger issues...

This guy sounds like an idiot. When has Mario ever been played with dual analogs?

His mother should be punched in the face for naming him Daemon.

His name is Daemon, and that makes him awesome, regardless of what he says.

Gamescoop has turned into a true-blue Wii trollfest the last couple of episodes. 'Tis true.

LOL we're on opposite ends of the spectrum on this one. It'd be funny if he's this scrawny little nerdy guy. Run up on him and punch him in the mouth and be like "I have vanquished the Daemon!"

Jon Stewart should come on some of these shows.

Remember what he did to Crossfire?

That would be awesome, just watch Jon Stewart belittle the guys to the point they want to slit their wrists =)

No game since mario galaxy interested her?

Not even barbie or my little pony??????

I kid, though seriously if she wasn't interested in brawl/mario kart or other big games the wii was clearly not the correct purchase.

No what is bias is when someone loves the Wii and express it then they 'like a console'.  If they dislike it though and express is then suddenly it is "Anti-Wii bias".

To be fair anything positive said about the Wii should be labled "Pro-Wii bias" from now on.

I disagree with you. Theirs is a big difference between not liking a console and just plain being an a--hole. I'm a Nintendo fan, but I have nothing against the others. And I won't call the 360 or PS3 stupid because that would be stupid. Both are good gaming consoles just like the wii is. And the wii is a very good gaming console. It may not have what someone may like(a bunch of shooters), but that is far from being dumb or for kids. Besides, when have you ever heard of a Nintendo fan downing another console? And most of what's being said about the wii is like so 2 years ago. There is enough positives in all 3 consoles. As well as the portables. But some people, like the fool in this article and Shia Labeouf, are just being idiots who sounds like they don't know much about the wii. Other than the hater rhetoric.

I'm a Nintendo fan also and I agree with everything you say, but regarding this point...yes, very frequently.
