I'd like a PS3 backup system where I can choose what I'd like saved: all or selected installs/games, Saved games, Music, Photos, Videos or everything.
Backing up the whole bunch every week when not much fundamental has changed can prove a lengthy chore.

I'd second that.  I'd also like 'Copy Multiple' as option for save games.  I can copy multiple images, videos, etc. but not game saves, oh no, that's one by one...

The fact that the backup utility backs up everything is a pain in some ways, as I suspect the main reason for backup is system failure, which then means a new unit and HDD, which then means the restore refuses to restore the biggest chunk of what you'd backed up, PSN games, game data, etc. only restoring save files, users and media content.

C'mon Sony all it would take is a few tweaks - the core elements are there.

Try to be reasonable... its easier than you think...

I'm all for improvements, I just don't know why he's so excited.  As I implied, it's like getting excited about Window's Update.

Juse thought of something.... adding Mic support to the already present text chat wouldn't go against MS's patent right??? Could be a pretty simple way for us to get voice chat... :S
