Forums - Gaming Discussion - What if your favorite console maker droped out?

No Nintendo would cause my interest in gaming to diminish severely, but I'd probably eventually pony up the money for one of the HD twins... maybe.

I would probably play my Wii if Sony dropped out. Eventually I would move into PC gaming. I won't give Microsoft money, though. I have only purchased a copy of XP SP2 from them and will never buy anything from them again. If Sony dropped out, and Nintendo continued on their current path? I would either move to PC, collect all the impossible trophies, or quit gaming.

I have moved and do not have the internet at home, yet.

Well, it's already happened. It hurts for a while but if playing games are really what you like, you'll keep playing games.

None of the console makers are irreplaceable. I wouldn't care if one dropped out, because if that happens the market would have moved on already.

Tease.

If MS dropped out id be a PC gamer.

Already happened to me, with the death of the Dreamcast. *sobs*

When that happened, I still played my DC for a while, moved to PC gaming for a bit, then eventually bought a Gamecube.

These days, I have all consoles, so if Nintendo (my favorite) dropped out, I'd be sad, then go play some Halo.
