hey guys. I just got starcraft today and a few things are bothering me, in game and on the menus the cdolurs are getting mixed up or not displaying properly, I also cant find a way to window the game, any help would be greately appreciated as I really wanna play the game

It's really hard to help you when you just say things are not displaying properly.  That sounds like video card/driver issue.  Make sure everything is up-to-date (game, gfx drivers, etc).

Read through that page.  It has a solution that will let you run it in 640x480, but at the end of the day it just comes down to the fact that Blizzard didn't include a windowed command in the game itself. 

no it only happens with brood war installed, i have up to date drivers and fully updated game, ingame it's fine except for the water

Are you running vista? It happens to me sometimes. Just alt-tab back and forth until the colors are normal. It may take a few times but it works. I have no idea what causes it.

Why would you want to play Starcraft windowed? It's not like you can chat on MSN while you're playing someone online (unless the guy is really really bad).

yeah u have to use a program to window the game...i forgot what it was called...i have the program at home...i'll let u know once i get home...

windows mode is good if u have dual monitor....have anime/movie playing on one monitor and game on the other...cuz if u go to full screen...the other monitor just goes black...i like to watch anime/movie while i play all my games...it feels so boring if i dont do that...

Klucifer... if games are boring without movies and anime, then find a new hobby? lol

I'm similar to Klucifer in that I like having some background noise while I play PC games. Heck, that's one of the nicest parts of being a PC gamer--you can have another monitor or a TV going while you play.  I don't have to be totally watching or even paying attention to it, but it's just nice to have.
