Actually, I hated Super Mario RPG. The battle system made less sense then the others.

actually i like paper mario more than SMRPG. but i like SMRPG more than mario and luigi. i guess you could say your not totally alone.

I thought All the paper mario games were better the SMRPG.
Perhaps it's because I played the paper mario games first and only recently bought SMRPG. The game just felt so primitive and boring. I couldn't get into it. I will try to finish it sometime. It's a nice game, but the others are better.

It's a testament to the quality of the series. All of the games are awesome. The fact that Super Mario RPG came out in 1995 and we are comparing it to the latest Wii/DS games says a lot, though.

I think not.

Ok.  I didn't really love Geno... but a lot of people did for some reason.  Why no one every made a second game with him i'll never know.

Anyway.  I dunno.  Super Mario RPG i think really did the best job of combining RPG with Mario.  The rest have been good... but not been quite as RPGish to me.

I've never played any of the paper mario games, but I loved SMRPG. I've played Mario ad Luigi RPG on the GBA but thought SMRPG was better.

I have to say SMRPG > M&L: PiT > M&L: SS

Everything about Super Mario RPG is great... BUT

the game is just too easy now, I can breeze through it like nothing, maybe on my next playthrough Ill keep Peach off my team, maybe make some bosses harder.
