and whats wrong with it? It looked fun...so did red steel.....I never liked metroid.

Far Cry Vengence is the biggest reason the Wii was called "worse than Nintendo 64 graphics" some time ago.

Nobody is crazy enough to accuse me of being sane.

I hate Sony fanboys with their f*cked up arrogance. Take a look at the US sales, and see where the PS3 is there and then still say if it's over with Nintendo

Well ,two things 1 .Monopoly is bad . 2.The kind of entertaining that Nintendo is selling may be "for everybody " but that means it excludes the hardcore gamers .And we are hardcore gamers arent we ?Where are the complex games ,with deep gameplay and storytelling in the Nintendo systems of late ? This "something for everybody " is a casual approach and for us hardcore gamers means " a lot less for us " .

As for the numbers DS still great ,numbers are somewhat more modest than last year (around 100K-130K while last year they were around 180-240K) but still great .Its normal the slowing down ,most people there have one or many Ds right now .. PSP ,very good numbers ,since early december it has sold very well .Games as Metarl Gear Solid Portable Ops ,Tales of the World Radiant Mythology ,Tales of Destiny 2 and Monster Hunter Portable 2 are helping it in a great way .If it could sustain the flood of great games it would manage to keep this numbers .This is the closer it has been to the DS since the DS Lite launch ...while most of last year the gap was 7/1 right now it isnt even 2/1 . Wii ,acceptable numbers ....the problem is that it is falling week after week ...and that means it hasnt found its sales ground .If this trend continues it can see itself in PS3 levels in some weeks .Some games are being released as Eyeshield and Path of Radiance but they arent very well received .....aside from Wiisports and Wiiplay (and the later for the additional pad ) nothing seems to interest too much the japanese in this console .Dont get wrong about the "out of stock " ,it isnt out of stock it just is selling worse both in NA and in Japan ....the "out of stock " thing is pure propaganda yesterday I did read that Nintendo is surprised it cant keep up with the demand in Europe and I have been seeing tons of Wiis in the stores since at least 3 weeks . PS3 .Weak numbers .....33k could be maybe acceptable for a weak week .Some good games as VF5 ,Virtua tennis 3 and Gundam Mussou have been released of late and while two of them grabbed the top spot the numbers arent impressive .Only Gundam Mussou has moved some hardware ,and the big guns (DMC4,MGSIV ,FFXIII ,White Knight Story,Winning Eleven) are still many months away to help the system .Still ,if it could manage to improve a bit its numbers and the Wii falls further it could wait comfortably for the big guns and the price drop to happen .I mean ,the X360 in Japan is a walking dead and if the Wii falls a bit further PS3 and Wii will be about the same numbers for week so it should worry about "gaps widening " and could wait comfortably to its software to mature and its hardware to drop in price . X360 .As I said it is a walking dead .There were a month when all its big guns appeared at Japan (Gears ,Blue Dragon ,Lost Planet ,Idolmaster ..) when it seemed it could do something but it is approaching again the numbers of last year .Even with the PS3 selling very bad with these number it will still put some 110K of difference in Japan in march alone .

well, its a pitty that your shops have tons of wiis because in austria (and germany too i think) you have to fight or you need real luck to buy one ...

If Nintendo went away there wouldn't BE a gaming world. Study your history. Check around 1984-ish/1985-ish. Nintendo is the last thing keeping consoles alive. Gaming would have went to home computers LONG ago if Nintendo hadn't kept the console viable. And gaming wouldn't have advanced the way it did without the mass market power & reach of consoles. The PC World while it has its enthusiasts will always be niche...the high-end of it anyway. And not nearly as profitable. There's a reason why Nintendo changes the interfaces and stays steady on the innovationist tip. That's what keeps consoles from dying out as a medium. Specialized accessible gaming computers = Game console Never forget that. People think MS & Sony are best for this industry but if they knew their history they'd know that both of those companies would render the console extinct before long. High price and a focus on power for power's sake. A certain focus on the same type of customer. Why not just buy a gaming PC and be done with it? Consoles are BY DESIGN never to be on the cutting edge. They are always 3 steps or more behind. PC's are modular, consoles are more or less fixed. That's the difference. Study how power NEVER made a difference EVER in videogaming. Atari 2600 beat the pants off of the much more superior Mattel Intellivision. They said that the NES was weaker than the Sega Master System and we know the results of that battle. The only time EVER that a "console race" was close was in the 16-bit era with Nintendo & Sega & only in certain regions. They were comparable in power and Sega at first actually had more respect though it came out earlier. Playstation 1 whooped Nintendo 64's more powerful polygons. Playstation 2 dogged that purple lunchbox known as the Gamecube & that behemoth of onyx obsidian power known as the XBox. Wii's proving to prove this truism right once again with its understated power against its "HD" competitors. Don't get me into the handheld fights where a non-backlit B&W Gameboy trounced all superiorly specified competitors for 9 years straight then still doing the same with the NES-like GameBoy Color & SNES-like GameBoy Advance. And once again against its best competitor yet with the N64-like DS. The Importance of Nintendo John Lucas (just had to get that off my chest for a minute)

Words from the Official VGChartz Idiot

WE ARE THE NATION...OF DOMINATION!

If you look at the numbers you´d see ALL consoles in Japan were dropping. And that is because of the lack of games for PS3 and Wii and not because any company just screwed up or something - there was one week the PS2 sold just 9k units in Japan and it is marke leader today. So don´t base your expectations of one slow week for all systems. Everyone should know Wii and PS3 will both have low hardware sales till Super Paper Mario comes out in April - no games, no sales. USA: Lot of people already mentioned it: January was 10 days longer for NPD than february was. So this is 28 vs. 38 days. January: 11.447 Wii´s a day. February: 11.964 Wii´s a day. OMG! Daily Wii numbers increased! :p

There is no doubt that nintendo help restart the gamin industry but no one is a mind reader and no one know whether or not another company could have come along and did the same thing. There is a place for every company that has graced the world of console gaming. The millions of gamers out there have different points of entry into gaming and that is through different consoles and games. Saying MS and Sony are bad for gaming is just not true. Sony has Helped grow this industry because each of thier previous consoles has sold 100 million+ and has dragged a bunch of new people into the gaming world. MS has used the Xbox and exposed alot of gamers who love competition and online play. The xbox might have moved more Hardcore PC gamers into owning and enjoying a console. Its great that Nintendo has been changing their controllers but there is a saying that if it isn't broke don't fix it. While I am not complaining about ANY of the controllers on the market, I am just saying I am just as happy with my same old PS3 controller that is a slightly upgraded PS1 controller and my 360 slightly upgraded Xbox type s controller as I am with my Wii remote. If nintendo went away today I would be sad but that would not end console gaming. It would just irk a niche of people. IF this industry did not have sony and MS I would have put down video games completely after the N64. It is good that there are three companies catering to different crowds because as much as the nintendo fans do not want to believe it., there are multiple things that make up a great game. Good gameplay is only one of them.
