A very diplomatic response.  Good on Sony.

Yeah, I actually came to this thread expecting some horrible response from them but I was very surprised to see a nicely thought out no comment.  Someone had their Cheerios today!

I did!  Apple Cinnamon Cheerios to be exact!

MS could step in the game and say:

"Hi Activision, we heard you are thinking about dropping Sony? Well if you do so: here are 200 million USD... *alluring smile*"

Activision: "Oh MS, you are one nasty guy. But this is too much to say no!"

MS: "Come here and kiss me Darling!"

Activision: "Let's make some children [new IPs]!"

Imagine not having GamePass on your console...

I would really want to see Sony calling this CEO bluff. I REALLY REALLY want him to go up tomorrow or next week and say MW2,GH ...etc will not be released on PS3 because I'm really interested in what choice of a career he is gonna have after this one.

what a dumb thing to say from someone so high up... human beings, tsk tsk...

Yes, because saving his company development costs in providing for the last place console is all lose for him...

This is a precarious position...  The DLC alone for CoD outsells Sony's exclusives.  Thus, without more content, they could conceivably sell more exclusives...  But this could prompt more developers to drop Sony.

Believing in the PLAYSTATION®3......IS.......S_A_C_R_I_L_E_G_E

Oh stevie. Some Sony DLC outsells some 360 exclusives too.

Yes! I would love to have Sony ditch Activision. I'm not kidding I really don't give a fuck about Call of Duty or Guitar Hero.

More first party exclusives please, let Wii and 360 share the little 6gb multiplats.

You keep throwing that figure around, sounds nice, but has no real meaning. CoD4 has already outsold all of Sony's exclusives too... Uh-oh! I guess Sony should respond by not making anymore exclusives, something has outsold them!

From what people have been saying, this could be a "my bitch" thing.

Like, Sony have stated the 13Million... which basicly = Pricecut.
And Activision are like... CUT THE PRICE OR ELSE >:(
Its looking like a "yeaaah Sony is our Bitch"

Personally I don't see it that way.

Assuming Sony cuts the price of the PS3 prior to the holiday season, MS will easily counter that with a price cut of their own (which could happen irregardless) and effectively anul any benefit the still overpriced PS3 would have gotten from it.    Why buy a $299 - $349 PS3 when you can get a $249 Wii or $149-249 360?

It Sony wants to benefit from a price cut it must do it NOW.  However, I think Sony has lost quite enough money on PS3 already so I don't see it happening, Activision be damned.

i do not see M$ cutting the price for xbox for a long time as they said themselves that they are not gonna do that.

Of course they did.   So did Sony.   So did Nintendo (who may not be bluffing but they must drop sometime). No one admits to future pricecuts, that only hurts present sales.
