The real question is: why would we ever care?
Here's another useless speculation for you... how much would the xbox have sold if it didnt have Halo?

It's such a boring, terrible tech demo that the average Wii owner plays it for a mere 34.5 hours. What a piece of crap!

A tech demo like Duck Hunt was to the lightgun? Or Mario 64 to the analog stick?
Nov 2016 - NES outsells PS1 (JP)
Don't Play Stationary 4 ever. Switch!
in japan the attach rate is at 43% so if it sold similar in Americas and others it would sell
10.10m in Americas
7.95 in others
21.62 in total
Obviously not, heh.
I did not touch my copy of Wii Sports at all. So I wouldn't have got it if it wasn't bundled. Here you go.

First off, Wii games don't cost $60. They cost $50 max, unless they come with peripherals. Second, yes, it IS a tech demo. A tech demo that's a lot more fun and better programmed than many of the other casual so-called "games" on the Wii that were just made to try cashing in on the "casual movement".
*note: Malstrom has a good blog about this and the fact that devs are idiots and keep trying to cash in on the wrong thing that the Wii is doing. |
First off, that's my opinion. (should I even mention it?)
Second, here in Canada (at least eastern), Wii games cost 60$.
Also, I don't understand your note.

Duck Hunt and Mario 64 are no tech demo.
