Forums - Gaming Discussion - WHEN did u give up on Nintendo?

I haven't given up on Nintendo. I am on a hiatus from their products, because they don't catch my attention. I know they catch my mothers attention or my little cousins, but not mine. I guess I grew up...but I doubt they could arrange to have more games made for people like myself. Who knows? Only time will tell.

I don't feel like quoting lol:

According to VGC, Crash Bandicoot 2 sold close to 8M...hardly something to throw out if sales is what you're talking about for them finding a jackpot, especially when Halo is as big as it is and it took the 3rd installment to pass that number

oh and @dahumon, I think the term groundbreaking is perfectly correct for the situation with Gears. Something like Gears was never done before it came out, and now lots of games (whether good or crappy) are implementing it (Uncharted, Quantum (Theory), MGS4, Wanted, I think, etc.)

102 million PSone sold vs barely 23mil PS3, they are not "that" stupid.

Those games have all been done before, I don't know where you've been o_O; all they did was mesh the ideas together.

Name one game before Gears of War that had that kind of cover system along with blind fire

You may give up on Nintendo but Nintendo will never give up on you.

Nov 2016 - NES outsells PS1 (JP)

Time Crisis, and blind fire is just randomly shooting, like I said, all meshed together.

PS1 :)

Not sure if I'll ever give them a chance, but the NES and SNES was fun, it's just everything went down hill from there, they haven't released anything that appealed to me yet.

My thread for teaching VGC some Nigerian slangs

I never gave up on them cuz I never joined them...started out a sega boy and then shifted into a playstation man.

N64 that's when, new kid PS gave me non kiddy games and finally a racer worthy of me buying a console for.

Never. The only non-Nintendo consoles I've owned were my PS2, which was used for PSX Final Fantasy games, and my PSP, which was a waste of money.

NES - Really cool, their best system until the Wii.

SNES - Had some really good RPGs, but ultimately Sega was better until Donkey Kong Country came out.

N64 - The system had like 70 games released for it total. PSX had thousands. OF COURSE PSX was the better choice.

Gamecube: There were more games, but they were all crap. Skies of Arcadia Legends and
Baten Kaitos were the only ones I can think of that were good; Metroid Prime had high ratings, but please, what is the point of a Metroid Game where you can't even see what Samus is doing?

Wii: Nintendo finally figured out what works, and luckily for them Sony and Microsoft bet wrong. Too bad a lot of developers did too; but I have felt Wii has been a vastly superior console than the previous two, and better than the SNES, and perhaps the NES. Everyone knew the Wii was going to be the system to get when DS proved the points Nintendo was pushing with the Wii.

I describe myself as a little dose of toxic masculinity.
