Aren't you expecting too much?Call of Duty WoW on sold 1.2million and it's probably the biggest gaming franchise nowadays.

Call of Duty 3 was pretty bad, Call of Duty Advanced Warfighter (the breakout title for the series) wasn't released on the Wii, and Call of Duty World at War wasn't that great of a game ... Basically, the handling of the Call of Duty series on the Wii has been far worse than it has been on the HD consoles which has (understandably) translated into less interest in the series.

Just a small correction: COD4 was Modern Warfare. I think Advanced Warfighter is a Ghost Recon game, although I could be wrong on that.

On another note, I thought World at War was supposed to be good? I have never played it before, so I couldn't really comment on it.

I have CoDWaW and it's a great online FPS.  Not as robust as it is on HD systems but the best currently on Wii.

I can't speak for others but I think Conduit will outsell it.  Not only is Conduit a Wii only title, it's not 'gimped' in any way.  It's a fully fleshed out online game.  But primarily the most important difference is it's rated 'T' and not 'M' which means anyone with kids will be more inclined to pick up Conduit where you shoot aliens with no blood over CoD and a LOT of Wii owners have/are kids.   So irregardless if the game is for dad or Jr Conduit is a better title to get.

I really think going for the T rating was the smartest move anyone could have made, no need to force the M rating on it. I think what hurt Madworld, other then it being "Just Ok", was the fact it was trying to go for a M rating. I'm hoping that Grinder & Gladiator AD do the same as the Conduit, but from what we've seen it's unlikely, lol.

The Interweb is about overreaction, this is what makes it great!

...Imagine how boring the interweb would be if everyone thought logically?

Madworld was fine as it was, reducing that to a T rating would have sucked out the essence of that game.   HoTD:Overkill on the other hand... would have sold a hell of a lot better if guys could play it in front of their wives or kids.   M rating is fine, being a Guiness Record holder for most F bombs is not.   It was a cute and ballsy move by Sega but not very smart business wise to attempt such an immature 'mature' rating.

The game had delays? I heard it didn't have a publisher for a long time... but delays?

I'm saying 80-100k in the US, just because FPS are not that popular on the Wii. 80-100k would be not bad for a new FPS IP on the Wii. I'm guessing around 120k worldwide.

Sadly, I'm going to have to agree with you on this one. I think it'll just barely break 100k. I hope to be proven wrong, and it blows the doors off this mutha! Because I'm really not in the mood for another discussion about 'legs' or 'lack of advertising' or "Decent for a new IP" or anything of the sort. Give me a true, honest to God, smash fire third party exclusive hardcore hit for the Wii. Can I get that Lord?!

I had added up the averages and I got about 300k for the number of sales in the first week.

I predict 300k-400k first week hope fully 2million LTS.

Oh wow, two exact same threads by the exact same person. My prediction from the other thread: "I say 1.5 to 2 million. Many more copies sold are welcome!"

First week worldwide sales are probably in the 80k-100k region. Anything above 100k is big succes for me. Most people are overestimating first week sales of Wii games.

Lifetime it shouldn't have a problem with breaking a million.

Also, every decent shooter (and even some mediocre ones) have sold over 500k, and most were not advertised at all. The Conduit will reach 500k within 2 months, definitely.

Good game.... good sales! 1 million pieces after one year... I hope...

But I just saw reviews for the game... they are not good...!!!!

I am really excited for this game but I can´t see it breaking 100k the first week
worldwide. 70k for America and 10k for EU is my guess. Lifetime 1 mi - 1,5 mi
which I would consider success. There will probably be no advertising to speek
of in Europe for the Conduit. Most of the sales will come from the US.

80k-100k first week (us)

700k lifetime worldwide

btw. how many days will this game have for this month npd numbers? i hope it will show up in the top ten for this month....
