Don't get me wrong, but I am not excited for MAG at all. The problem is, I just don't see the massive draw in these 256 player battles, and with Modern Warfare 2 almost certain to have near perfect multiplayer, and Uncharted 2: Among Theives supplimenting its amazing single player mode with some nice multiplayer, I just don't see any reason to get MAG.

I get the feeling that this game is not really beeing hyped, and it has not even won best multiplayer game at any E3 awards. It is just getting drowned out among the other games, and besides the 256 player stuff, seems a little bland and uninteresting.

So am I the only one feeling this way, or will this game be big?

I'm considerring it, I really enjoyed the old Battlefield type games where there are lots of vehicles around to use and large scale battles with objectives to take. Not to mention I like to snipe, so it could be fun being in such a big battle where I have a better chance of going unnoticed.

Still not sure if I'll buy it though.

game will be big but more to a niche audience.

socom has more or less sold a million including downloads.

but i think mag will sell more than socom, best thing is mag akin to socom will have a bustling online community where you will always have matches to play.

so count me in i will deffo buy mag, zipper wont dissapoint.

256 player battles are too much to resist

I simply wont have time for it.
If I am to achieve my usual target of getting and staying in the top 7500 in COD for a good time, I will only have time for one online shooter

1st day buy for me, might take the day off work as well. But I agree, it isnt really being hyped that much. But it could be because there are just so many great games out there it is just getting lost amongst the others. Its tough to get spotlight time with games like Uncharted 2, Gran Turismo 5, Forza 3, Modern Warfare 2, Assassins Creed 2, God of War III, Halo:ODST, and anything Mario related.

I liked the 64-player mode in battlefield 2, but I have no desire to buy a game designed around 256-player games.

I'm not that excited either, but hot damn 256 Deathmatch sounds like alot of chaotic fun.
