I didn't say there was. But some of the screens in this thread are GT5p replay mode screenshots touched up for wallpaper and marketing use.

But we've mostly discussed the E3 GT5 trailer which had some CGI/prerendered parts.

Don't twist my words, son.

You know, all this arguing is amounting to nothing. The MS fanboys won't concede to anything and the Sony fanboys won't concede to anything.

I must admit, though, the Sony fanboys are annoying me more. They won't even conceive of the possibility that the cars look so good that there really aren't very many distinguishing characteristics.

I mean, really now? How dense do all of you fanboys have to be to say that your racer looks better. And you all know what they say about arguing on the internet... -_-

Now this is good stuff! Not on par with the red Ferrari on the city/London track above, but still very nice grafix.

Is this GT5p replay/photo mode? It could be.

I absolutely love that screenshot. Is there more from the same source (it looks like it's shot off screen with a high quality camera)?


How does replay mode work in GT5p btw, its only avaiable after a race, or can u pause the race and watch replays in high quality?

 

I'll try to find more of these. It shot off a good/properly tuned TV with a normal camera.

The replay mode you can view it after the race. with the normal stuff like pause, rewind, change camera angle, etc and save it to your HDD.

 

They cut the fps half in the replay mode to add more AA and effects to achieve better visual replays.

If you looked at my posts, I was saying they look on par for the whole time.

It was a few individuals keep making F3 threads with choice of words like "graphic king" "best graphic ever", etc.

 

AFAIK that I was told racing games don't count when it comes to the "best graphic" race.

Yes, I added an edit for clarity. Although I commented about this picture (together with the E3 GT5 trailer blue Subaru):

"Lol at Sony fans actually believing this is anything near in game graphics.

It's CGI. And racing games won't look that beautiful even in next gen. But hopefully the generation after.


EDIT: the bottom screen's graphics is possible in next gen racing games in-game, but the light blue rally car is almost a decade away in the future."

So to be clear, I'm not saying this pic below is CGI per se, but it's surely not in-game and not replay mode either. It's source is probably GT5p, but the screenshot is clearly touched up afterwards for wallpaper and marketing purposes.

God you guys are such fanboys...you must not really be racing sim fans.

All i've heard this whole thread is "but my dick is .000001 inches bigger then yours!!!"

Get over it!

A true racing sim fan would want to play both, and be very excited about both Forza 3 and GT.  Most of you are not true sim racing fans!
