@kanariya

I know, where is all this BS coming from about that GT5:P image being CGI

Because it is CGI.  Notice how it looks nothing like those other images Kanariya said developers released as PR shots?

And kanariya, where is your proof this was released by PD?  That image you gave us without the bottom headlines was still not from an official PD source....

Oh and you know what's funny?!?!? THOSE ARE THE SAME IMAGE!  Someone just cut off the bottom where the headline was.

Notice the first image properties is 1280x800 and the second image is 1280x774?  Hmmm... so they took out 26 pixels from the height to remove the bottom footnote of the GameWallpapers.com.  This was not released by PD.  I'm sorry.

kanariya = fail.

Lol you're funny.

Who else do you thing could be able to release GT game images other than the developers themselves?

Are you saying the random wallpaper.com modeled and rendered the image exactly like the game by themselves?

But it's not a freaking game image!  That is what I am saying.  I just debunked your claim by showing you someone edited the original image which was made by GameWallpapers.com.  It is a complete mockup image made by that website and is only meant to look like in-game images, but in fact is much better.

I'm not saying the other pics you posted were CGI, or that the E3 trailer was CGI.  Just that one picture you posted from GameWallpapers.com which looks leaps and bounds better than anything else out is CGI.

Lol. Do you realise that the randomwallpapers.com got the high res images from various source and put the footer down on the image to put up on their website?

Do you actually think that the wallpaper.com rendered the image by themselves????????? Just because they have their website on the image?

They slipped in CGI images between the gameplay in E3 trailer.

Its no surprise that previous GT gameplay trailers Polyphony Digital have always included CGI/FMV sequence in between with actual gameplay video. As this image directly contradicts with previous image of GT5 WRC image taken from trailer. Therefore we have to consider it as could be target detail level which can be expected from GT5

Coincidentially people have picked apart the trailer and that is not CGI.

As you will notice by the dust, between the wheel and the door there is a area where it simply vanishes.

The same around the back wheel.

This was speculated to be due to incomplete texturing/"dust maps" so to speak.

Not a mistake you would make with cgi :p

There was also something else but i can't recall it exacly.

Lol at Sony fans actually believing this is anything near in game graphics.

It's CGI. And racing games won't look that beautiful even in next gen. But hopefully the generation after.

EDIT: the bottom screen's graphics is possible in next gen racing games in-game, but the light blue rally car is almost a decade away in the future.

it was shown that in the top image that there is clipping  in the wheel  and it goes inside the terrain instead of deforming, something that does not happen in CGI

I see you haven't played prologue.

I didn't say the Ferrari Prologue shot was gameplay. It's a PR shot for the media by PD. Same as those F3 photo shots by Turn10 lately.

The replay shots look close to that.

Are you kidding? That doesn't prove nothing. Anything can be done with CGI. But actually it don't matter what you call it, CGI or pre-rendered or whatever. The blue car part of the GT5 E3 trailer is not in-game, nor is it photo or replay mode.

The bottom pic could be a heavily touched up photo mode screen though.

we'll find out in a few weeks when OPM UK shows their preview for GT5

Now this is good stuff! Not on par with the red Ferrari on the city/London track above, but still very nice grafix.

Is this GT5p replay/photo mode? It could be.

Come on, that F1 car looks realer than the Ferrari
