Go to the Gongaga area, in the beaches there you should find an enemy called BeachPlug. Manipulate him, and cast Big Guard on your Enemy Skill user. That's one of the best spell in the entire game, gives you Barrier, MBarrier and Haste to all your characters for just 54 MP. Also try to get White Wind from Zemzoltt, it's the giant owl enemy in the fields near Junon, again manipulate him and cast it on yourself. It cures all your characters for the same amount of HP your Enemy Skill user has at the moment, plus it cures from almost all ailments and it's only 36 MP

You're right, it can't be added to attack, i've tried the added effect - hades to my weapon, even with both materia mastered, and paralyze is not an effect. I first thought it could be done, since Hades is a mega Bad Breath kind of attack, and it does add Paralyze to Ruby if you use Hades, but doesn't add it to your weapon. To this moment it can only be done with dazers, hoping to find someway to add it, as it will make the battle easier (I don't find it very hard to be honest, you just need the right set of materia and elemental defense, coupled with ribbons and a high dexterity stat).

You got lucky 7's for posts, well done!

As for Ruby I have beat him without summons, but I wanted to try to beat him without dazers.

Well, the only other way i can think off is maxing out your dexterity, vitality, strenght and spirit stats with Sources, so that you'll be at least on par with his attack and defensive abilities.
Coupled with Ribbons and Mystiles in all your party elements, elemental-fire to absorb his Ruby Flame, and Elemental-Ultima to neutralize the damage caused by Ultima and Shadow Flare, it can be doable, got to try that setup as well.
*Hits like crazy for 777 damage*!

although i am not playing 7, i am a playing 9, ill update where i am in that game instead

just left alexandria after dagger was drained of her summons. currently at pinnacle rocks outside lindblum and about to get my first summon; ramuh.

On the part where ive gotten to Barrets hometown. Cloud-lvl 24, Tifa-23, Aerith-23, Barret-19, Red XIII-19.

I've just gotten Cloud back, and I'm begginning to raise, mate, and race chocobos. It's tedious but fun. My main party is all Lvl62+ and the others are around 55-60. I've noticed that FF7 has a very outdated interface. That makes a FF7 remake that much more appealing! One other thing I've noticed is that this game is really easy. I've died a total of one times, and that was because my whole party was asleep/petrified[it was outside of Wutai]. I hope the Weapons prove to be actual challenges..
