I was wondering what do you guy think the GT PsP will sell in each region.

know that PSP software suffers from piracy especially in the US, but considering that the 3000 still has yet to be hacked to play full psp games sales might be better then most expect.

here are my predictions.

US- 700k

Others- 1.4 mil

Japan - 1.1 mil

i expect bundling in others with psp go

I think you are right, but maybe it could sell in US 1M

I actually might have to change my US prediction after doing a lil research and it seems the Racing game genre on the PSP is pretty strong in the US. the game US psp owners are more likly to buy is racing games. there are 4 millions sellers on the psp in the racing game genre and they all have good sales in the US. Gt being the biggest name racing game on any playstation system it should do better then the others.

I would say:

US : 1.2M
Others : 1.6M
Japan: 1M

US 500k
EU 900k
JP 1.6m
The reason i have japan so high is mainly due to less pirating.

Edit: I just checked previous GT sales and i over estimated japanese sales, i will stick to it though.

US -- 350K -------------- GT isn't that big in NA anymore

EU -- 1.5 Million ------------ GT is HUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUGE here

JP -- 500K--------------- PSP games always do very well in this su-shi specialist region

I'm honestly not expecting much out of the title in the west, but it'll do well in Japan (compared to its console counterparts). Overall, it'll sell along with the PSPs best, but I'm not thinking much more than 3 million lifetime.

As for this holiday season, I'm thinking around 1.5 million overall, with near 500k of that coming from Japan.

If it does less than 3 million LTD, we could see a situation where GT5 outsells it within a week or 2 weeks of its release......that would be shameful!

Its just the nature of PSP games. Compare the sales of the PSP GTAs to the console ones, or MGS:PO to MGS3 and MGS4.
