He thought that there isnt going to be any more consoles, he thinks sony would go bunkrupt if they have a ps3 price cut, he thinks the psp go is a rip off (that depends on how much the consumer likes the product, its not his choice to decide). He picks his nose and doesnt know how to play first person shooters...

In fairness to him, Sony quite nearly DID go bankrupt with the first PS3 price cut. They had to sell off some big part of the company and lay off a few thousand people in order to pull it off.

Of course in better financial times they would have been able to cut the price without such drastic measures.  But due to the rough times, they were forced to do it by the price cut.

You just described 95% of the people here.

Patcher also preditced that Sony would remove the Blu ray drive from the PS3.

1. I actually have to agree here as long as "near future" means in the next 12-18 months.

2. A $50 price cut * 7 million sales = $350million, unless you don't think the PS3 could get 7 million sales after a price cut but before the next one (probably a year to a year and a half)

3. If it is true that the PSP GO is cheaper to manufacture than the PSP3000 and they are charging more than it kinda is a rip off.

Don't get me wrong Pachter is an idiot but these 3 things don't prove that (they really don't prove anything as anyone with a glimmer of independent thought could come up with them on their own)

PSP Go is a total ripoff though. Its going to sell like crap.

On his other predictions I think he is just plain wrong. Sometimes this is from bad predictions (wii hd in 2010) and sometimes this is due to an expectation that something is going to happen due to it happening many times in the past (ps3 price drop expectations). But, this generation is a lesson in things not happening like they had and Patcher needs to factor that in when he makes his predictions.
