From Kotaku: Xbox Japan "Accidentally" Uploaded Final Fantasy XIII Page

In the West, Final Fantasy XIII is a multi-platform titles, announced for the PS3 and the Xbox 360. In Japan, it is not. Something that makes this Xbox Japan website image perplexing.

This image appeared ever so briefly earlier today, before it was taken down. It's a Japanese Final Fantasy XIII page for the Xbox 360 — which has not been announced for the region where it's apparently a Sony exclusive. Square Enix and Sony have been cross prompting PS3-only-in-Japan FFXIII with the game's demo appearing on the blu-ray version of Final Fantasy VII: Advent Children Complete.

Ttry loading the page's URL now, and you'll turn up empty-handed. According to Microsoft, this was all a mistake, and the Western Final Fantasy XIII page inadvertently ended up on the Japanese site.

Xbox Japan PR told Kotaku, "The FFXIII page you pointed out was actually accidentally uploaded onto the Japanese website during web management operations and has now been taken down. There is no change to what has already been announced that this title will be released in North America and Europe."

Sizzle! Ohohohoho! So it's an 'accident' Mr Microsoft?? Sure thing buddy! Namco Bandai had a similiar 'accident' last year listing Tale of Vesparia for the PS3, we know where that went right? Right?

Now lets see if this becomes a recurring 'accident' Mr Microsoft. *cough* TGS *cough*.

WOW This is teh PS3 killer. PS3 is doooomed, dead, finito!!! All hope is lost. It's the Sonycalypse! MS taking over Japan confirmed! Mohahahaha!

Oh well....

The next accident will be Squre-Enix deleting all the data for the PS3 version of the game so that they can only release this on the 360.

maybe they are trying to piss japanese Xbox 360 gamers off by making it look like it is :O, doubt it though, MS pisses them off more then enough without trying

I would agree agree that it was a mistake, but why is the Japanese text with it... If they just took the english page and "accidently" uploaded it wouldn't it be english?

TGS might have some good news for 360 owners in Japan.

Don't Sony just have a 1 year exclusivity in Japan?

well, from what we've been told it has always been a permanent exclusive in Japan for PS3, but I have my fingers crossed for this not being an accident.
