Forums - Gaming Discussion - How much Online Gaming do you do?

I bring this up because we often talk about how great LIVE is and how bad it is that Nintendo doesn't have a plan for online. And while that's all find and good I just wanted to know how much online gaming does everyone do? Personally I've played my X360 for about 45 hours now, and only spent 1 hour online. I played a friend of mine in 2K7, it was fun, and I'm definitly going to do it again. but if he didn't have the system I probably wouldn't bother. I tried to play a stranger and couldn't really get into it. It's fun when its your friend. but that's about it. otherwise the live service is great for downloading demos and stuff, but despite online being some what fun, I hardly find it to be that important to me.

I usually play single-player almost exclusively even on PC and stuff, a big drawback to 360 and PS3 for me right now is that they're focusing so much on online that they're completely neglecting single-player.

I don't do any, but who knows how much i would do if i owned a 360 or ps3.

I played Live on the 360 for about 10 minutes and got bored with it, I thought with all the hype it would be funner but I find that to me it's funner when my friends are over at the house and we all sit around and play a game.

I agree, it's been alot of games that are only mulit player online and you can only use certain features when online it's a game on 360 (I can't think of the name) but it's not even co-op unless you go online.

I currently don't play any online console games. I occasionally play Half Life 2 DeathMatch or Day of Defeat Source on the PC if I feel like shooting stuff, and lately about 10 of my friends and I play Guild Wars. Online is not a huge issue for me...it's just something that adds value to games in my opinion. Super Smash Bros doesn't need online gaming...but it certainly would be nice, and I'm expecting it now. I think many Wii users agree, same-room multiplayer is much better on the Wii than online gaming. EDIT: I believe Crackdown does that...with co-op only available online or networked. I understand why, with split-screen probably being a graphical issue...but it certainly limits the fun to be had...

LEFT4DEAD411.COM
Bet with disolitude: Left4Dead will have a higher Metacritic rating than Project Origin, 3 months after the second game's release.  (hasn't been 3 months but it looks like I won :-p )

None, used to play some PDEM Alpha Centauri.

Is it hard to find other people on Prime Hunters via online?
