Well, OoT won the Greatest game awerd here in VGChaRTZ and right know is winning in the final vs FFVII in gamefaqs.com so I think most people agree that it is the best game of all time...

I didn't mention WW for a reason lol. Good game but better than Oot? laughable, and TP was a superior game to WW (I really wasn't feeling the art style). But again you are on point; to me TP is OoT perfected from a gameplay standpoint whereas OoT was revolutionary. Funny after beating OoT the first time I felt; complete, but definitely a sort of melancholy as well because it was like damn, I have just been blown away and will probably not feel this way for a looong time and I was right.

Metroid Prime..is a masterpiece on so many levels. I may be in the minority but I enjoyed Prime 3 more as that is one of my favorite games this gen so far. But that feeling of seeing Samus in 3-d for the first time..man. Here's hoping Other M is something special.

@Kepto: LoL, I feel the same way, and I also think the first MGS is the best of the 4, (it goes MGS 1,3,4,2)

You know what's funny? The art direction for WW was the reason I got into the industry as more than a musician. I wanted to make a game that was inspired by OOT, and I felt that WW left a huge gap for all those people who loved OOT and MM. I wrote about an 80 page fantasy-novel, which is on hold for now. I wanted to put the entire story together as a book and release it with the game, and let the book be the "hint guide" for the game. That game is on hold for a bigger budget, it might show its face next gen tho. Its a massive undertaking. We backtracked to a smaller game, a quirky Time Splitters 2 influenced FPS game, which *might* be done by the end of the year.

As for MP3, I haven't beaten it yet. I do like it thus far. I just beat TP on Friday, so my eyes are set on MP3 and RE4.

OoT has aged well, but not as well as SM64 or Majora's Mask.
OoT is probably near the lower end of any top 20 list for me should I see fit to make one.

That game has aged terribly. I tried playing it 2 years ago and cringed at how unresponsive the controls were.

Yes. We had a vote recently. OoT won. You may have seen it all over the news section.

Well it might be to some people. Final Fantasy VIII is the best game of all time in my opinion. I know many people will not agree with me, but like I said it's my opinion. ^^

Two things; 1) The gap you speak of was definitely felt, which is why I think when the TP trailer was shown it got the reception it did. 2) That is so full of hotness, you're brining it back to the old school with that idea of a short fantasy novel along with the game, that is too dope. I'm telling you so much emphasis has been on graphics and other visible traits but it is the subtle things that have been lost in modern game design, in my opinion at least. There are exceptions where the total package comes together beautifully.

Yeah, I saw a thread where you said you recently beat TP, great game I enjoyed it more the second time around. MP3, one of those games that gets better the further you venture into it, and RE4..the Wii edition I'm assuming is the one your embarking on, is definitely one of the best games I've ever played, and head and shoulders above RE5 in every area except graphics.

Bet between Slimbeast and Arius Dion about Wii sales 2009:

If the Wii sells less than 20 million in 2009 (as defined by VGC sales between week ending 3d Jan 2009 to week ending 4th Jan 2010) Slimebeast wins and get to control Arius Dion's sig for 1 month.

If the Wii sells more than 20 million in 2009 (as defined above) Arius Dion wins and gets to control Slimebeast's sig for 1 month.

In the zelda series, I'd have it ranked as number two (Majora- Ocarina of Time- Twilight princess-Link to the past- Wind waker). In terms of the best, I doubt there's any #1 that is universally agreed upon.

You are going to need a better flame shield than that. No correct spelling in your shit trolling either. Outdated? Try playing any PS1 game. Boring? You might want to play MGS again.

Yeah, I realized back then what made me enjoy OOT so much - it was the character development. That game had a ton of character development, even for the silent Link. I decided that I needed to make people really feel the characters, their plight, the places they live in. If *I* am not wild about the story and the environments, how can I expect anyone else to be? I want our game to feel like you're playing through a captivating fantasy novel. On top of that, it makes it easier for the dev team to really flesh out the game, if they all read the story, get ideas of what the characters and places look like in their heads, and then brainstorm elements of the game together.

Yup, RE4 is the Wii version, great controls. Im currently running away from that giant troll thing where I have to get the key.
