Forums - Microsoft Discussion - Microsoft should start buying Sony's Exclusives from 1st and 2nd Party

I think it would be great to be able to play an epic action game like God of War III, or an adventure game like Uncharted 2, or if  the kids could play a game a platformer with the quality of Ratchet and Clank, or to experience a game that will reach the emotional depths that a game like The Last Guardian will surely reach on PS3 on the 360.  So, I think Microsoft should start bringing these games to 360 as well as the other big games we've seen make the transition from Sony to multiplayer this gen.

So, go ahead and do it MIcrosoft,  Aaron Greenburgh said Sony's show was good, so you know this would be an awesome plan.  Especially for us Sony fans that have a 360 and don't feel like spending $300.00 or more on a PS3.

Yeah. It's not like Sony owns these studios or has a contract with them.

Money is very powerful and important, but it doesn't just let you do what you want.

Flamebait?

I LOVE ICELAND!

That can't happen. MS would have to buy SONY for that to happen.

I don't know. There might be a clause somewhere that says that since Sony is a Japanese company and Microsoft is an American company, then Microsoft could have the right to publish them in the US. Back in the Atari 2600 days there were more surprising things that happened.

So Microsoft publishes Sony's titles in America and saves Sony money in publishing costs? I'm sure they'd love that.

They would have to buy Sony America first :)

Kind of hard since Sony owns those franchises

They should do it for their fans because the PS3 is never going to come anywhere near equalling the 360 in America. And they've closed a lot of their own development studios, so they could probably afford to do so.

Microsoft tries to limit their first party stuff to games that actually sell.
