I don't think those are the full holiday lineups, GT5 and a Rare game may make 2009. Every game in the PS3 list interests me, and 2 games (Halo & SC:C) in the 360 lineup interest me. Maybe L4D 2 as well.

Im not sure those mean anything in MAGs case though.

A. MAG is online only.

B. This is a very ambitious project. Zipper may be being over ambitious here with 256 players.

Wow, you didn't even fix my spelling mistake? hehe.

Sure it's ambitious, but the E3 footage was pretty good all around. The game jumped in hype for me.

In terms of sales the 360 lineup will of course dominate. Especially since there is a Halo game which is an FPS.

In terms of quality, I think it matters if you are a MS or a Sony person.

Me personally am extremely happy with the PS3 lineup so far this year and upcoming.

So I guess I will be getting MAG for sure and UC2 and Ratchet likely.

I will ignore all the 360 ones coz they don't appeal to me (unless its Mass Effect 2).

That's my opinion.

Then why not wow the world and at least do a demo. If GT5 is the hardware mover than everyone claims it will be than why not release now before a price reduction wouldnt moving the hardware at the current price be better for Sony than releasing when hardare $50-$100 cheaper?



Its libraries that sell systems not a single game.

Gran Turismo 3 - 1,06 mln. in 3 weeks with around 4 mln. PS2 on the launch.
Gran Turismo 4 - 1,16 mln. with 18 mln. PS2 on the launch.

Final Fantasy X - around 2 mln. with 5 mln. PS2 on the launch.
Final Fantasy X-2 - 2.4 mln. with 12 mln. PS2 on the launch.

 

1.8 mln. PS3 today(2008.01.17) in Japan. Now(2009.04.30) 3.16 mln. PS3 were sold in Japan.
PS3 will reach 4 mln. in Japan by the end of 2009 with average weekly sales 25k.

PS3 may reach 5 mln. in Japan by the end of 2009 with average weekly sales 50k.
PS2 2001 vs PS3 2008 sales numbers =) + New games released in Japan by 2009 that passed 100k so far

You keep bringing this pathetic arguement up and I keep telling you the same thing and then you never respond.

 

/point in the direction of GT5P. Obviously GT5 is playable ITS IN STORES FOR CRYING OUT LOUD!

Sony has stood by their "Late 2009" launch window for it since it was announced at GC last year.
