Im constantly seeing reports on TV here in the U.S about how amazing Project Natal is and how revolutionary it will be. As an example of this, youtube has featured Project Natal as the most popular video in the gaming section.

Add to that both CNN and Yahoo are calling Project Natal the future of gaming, and the wii "killer", how far will this project go? Only Microsoft knows.

Natal is going to be massive. That Milo boy program alone is going to be huge with priests all over the world...

Microsoft need to get this out soon. Like this christmas.

Natal has generated a ton of buzz, both positive (mostly the press) and negative (forums and some press); I think that is exactly what Microsoft was hoping for. They kept their mouths shut for the last few months and it seemed to have paid off in a very good E3 showing.

No way. Hardware can't be fixed with an update. If the camera's on Natal doesn't work out of the box (completely and perfectly), it'll never be anything more than a failure and it'll burn MS reputation as a hardware manufacturer (RRoD was bad enough)

I say give them as much time as they need. Also, Natal in the long term will give the platform legs (in terms of prolonged sales). If Natal works, and MS market it properly, it could be the next big thing and redefine certain (not all) genres. Xbox 360 is meant to go onto 2015 right? Natal launching later and being perfect (or close to perfect) will be more beneficial.

If it launches at the end of next year it'll be good enough. The X360 would be around half its lifetime (if we believe MS wants it to go 10 years) which would be a pretty good time to launch it. And i hope it will be compatible with the next one too.

Really! Media hyping up something Microsoft related! Thats unheard of.

Long way to go and they needed something to combat Sony's motion controller and soon to be released Wii motion+, otherwise they would have looked like losers at E3.
I'm not sure it will do much if it's an add on for the current xbox360, they should wait and make it THE big feature of their next console.
