Try different inputs, see that all cables are securely plugged in, swap out cables if you are using anything analogue. Otherwise...that's going to be one expensive repair.

If you're using HDMI, go Component. If you'r using Component, go Analog. And if your PS3 is set for 1080p, downgrade to 720p. Hope that works for ya!

Did you try replacing the TV fluid and rotating the picture tubes? I'd start there.

Thanks for asking, it started happening during cable shows too, and got pretty bad - not sure if it was even the PS3.
Then it just stopped happening one day... strangest thing. It came back once a week later, then hasn't happened since. Hopefully I'm in the clear =)
