Forums - Nintendo Discussion - Miyamoto responds to Natal, Sony Motion Control

Well, i must say I Prefer Sony / Microsoft's approach ie Motion controls aren't a core part of the overall experience , just more of an optional add on. That's just me tho.

c'mon man don't bring it there. He should be flattered, and his response was very professional.

Yes it was very professional.  This is why I am not Miyamoto.

It was very professional that during the Natal demo it was said that it didn't respond to preset waggles and it was also professional when the CEO of Playstation said that he was only interested in having the best technolgy and not the first.  Also, he said that he wasn't interested in having something that impressed in a nursery home right after the conference on G4.  Very professional indeed.

Oh yeah and props to Nintendo too for a professional response. Now just release the black coloured Wii in Europe, and you have another customer.

Great...so Miyamoto influenced Sony and MS with his motion controls invention.

How about he takes their influence on online play, mature games and console processing power next gen.

Sony announces an accessory for a motion technology they introduced 7 years ago and they are copying Nintendo? Interesting.

i didnt realise they made the wands 7 years ago

sony copies everything man, last place consoles gotta get 'creative'

Last year's game of the year turned out to be Silent Hill : Shattered Memories (online GOTY was COD 6).  This year's GOTY leader to me is Heavy Rain.

I don't think the man who is lauded as the greatest game designer of all time needs to start adding boobies to your  fantasy-angst games, just so that a few teens will think he's cool.

And online isn't the be-all-end-all of gaming. It's what you do when the core single player game isn't compelling enough to play it on it's own.

You think Xbox and 360 are creative?
