Forums - Gaming Discussion - Left 4 Dead 2 Boycott a day after E3 Day 1

ssj12 found something meaningless to cry about, alert the authorities, please! I mean, honestly, this is the saddest thread I've ever seen. You are up in arms because Valve is releasing a (no doubt) very fun sequel to a very fun game instead of just giving you all that content for free?

Let's all boycott McDonald's, I feel like since I bought fries once, McDonald's should concentrate on delivering the highest amount of quality french fries possible instead of charging me for another order of fries. THIS IS AN OUTRAGE!

I hate to break it to you, but you aren't entitled to free content. When you pay $50 for a game, you are paying $50 for what comes in the box. If you think that it's not worth it to buy the sequel with the announced content, by all means, feel free to not buy it. I assure you no one on Earth, including Valve, gives a fuck.

I am so sick and tired of everyone feeling like they are owed something. Valve doesn't owe you shit. They sold you a $50 game, and the overwhelming consensus seems to be that the game was well worth $50. I know I don't regret the purchase, and neither does anyone else I have ever personally spoken to. So basically, you are now "stuck" with the exact fucking product you paid for, and that's cause for outrage in your book. The only thing more pathetic is that you are genuinely butthurt that VGChartz wouldn't allow you to post your mindless drivel in their news section.

This might be a little tangential, but this is why Nintendo doesn't care about the hardcore. You guys will complain if they make sequels to games to soon, or take too long. The OP is literally complaining that not enough changed, and too much changed at the same time. Game Designers want a slight change in mood or setting? FUCK THEM. They will stay exactly the same forever, and like it, or the hardcore will riot. Heaven forbid the ordinary people surviving in a zombie apocalypse are too ordinary, or the color palette or taste in music is slightly askew. Be careful to make all your sequels exactly the same as the original, while being entirely different!

Casual gamers say "This looks cool. Here's 50$. I'll see you later"

Wii has more 20 million sellers than PS3 has 5 million sellers.

There is no way I'm going to be buying Left 4 Dead 2 the way it is. I initially did not like the amount of content that L4D came with at first, but now it's being addressed. L4D 2 looks like total crap, with pretty unlikable characters, and definitely lost the magic of the first game.

Yeah, I finally have a sig.

Mindless consumerism ftw.

Left 4 Dead was worth every single penny of the full price i paid for it.

And theres no doubt in my mind that Left 4 Dead 2 will be worth every penny aswell.

The sequel to online game of the year 2008 is a day one purchase for me.

Bottom line______________________________________

*Yawn* I tell them to keep it up, I'll be playing Left 4 Dead 2 in a few months and they'll still be whining. Who wins?

ROFLMAO...I'll be playing L4D2 while these protesters will be pissed off at a video game!

Me & Ronster were just joking about that! haha

actually what's gonna end up happening is people will create mods to play exactly like L4D2 just to say fk you to Valve and I can already see it happening.
