binary solo said: Best thing about the PSwand is that it will be able to work with or without the Eye. It's still a wireless controller at the end of the day with an internal motion sensor that picks up and transmits motion. The eye is mostly necessary for spacial orientation. This gives devs options to create games using the internal motion sensing tech of the wand alone, or use both the wand and the eye.
And don't forget PS3 had sixaxis from launch, so they've had motion controls from the get go this gen. Ask anyone who's played Motorstorm whether Sony are supporting motion control in hardcore games. Sony are not Johnny come latelys to motion control, but they are behind on the level of sophistication used in their system.
I've always wanted more motion control and better use of eyetoy. But I like the PS suite of games more than Nintendo's to the point where I was willing to forgo better motion control for the games I like best.

Thats the main problem. Sony themselves hardly supported the motion controls they had AT LAUNCH.
So why should we expect more from them whenever this thing come out for them to support it?
Its hardly compeition when your launching what will be a year later after motionplus, motionplus will have market saturation by then. Its like a kid shoving all his mess under the bed and saying his room is clean. It doesn't fix anything.
Thats what I found dumb about the announcement of these two and how people are acting. Its simply too late for Microsoft, Sony or third partys to jump on this bandwagon now. Everyone knows the Wii/Nintendo for motion controls, suddenly after three years the other two bring it in it only shows one thing. Desperation.
