As long as traditional controls are used when they are better, then motion controls are fine. I'm not a kid anymore, and sometimes I just want to lay on the sofa and push buttons, though.
I want to be able to swing a huge damn sword with movements of my arm. They promised that, all 3 of them now, but until that is a fact in all sword fighting games, it's a gimmick as far as I'm concerned.

It's soon to be a fact on the wii.

^There, fixed it for you.
But at least it's comming...Probably.
(Someone just do a crapy port of "Die By The Sword" to the Wii and map the arm to the motion controler instead of the mouse. Done! And it would run on the Wii, even if polished.)
I think that the pursuit of motion controls, by Sony and Microsoft validates what Nintendo (and Nintendonias?) already new.
That being said, I think the goal is to expand the market, not to alienate the hardcore. Therefore I would expect motion controls and traditional controllers to exist in parallel, at least in the short term.

Yea, like pushing buttons looks any less nerdy/casual/kiddy/loser/stupid whatever else people say. You're playing a freaking game, deal with it, look stupid either way.
Can't believe people think they're better just because they push buttons, it's all the same shit in the end.
And just let Sony and MS say they are doing it differently and not like the Wii which is a toy, just business talk BS. They are copying the Wii and don't give a damn about what they said in the past or will say in the future.

Well Red Steel 2 will be here in late 09.
This thread has already been made several times within the last week, we don't need it again.
