You call that all over the news?

GMTV isn't even a news program, it is a crappy morning talkshow.

Your right. A crappy morning TV show it is. But you miss the mark entirely.

GMTV is the most watched morning program in the UK whether you like it or not. And the sort of people that will watch it are the sort of people that have Wii's. Eg: mums, and families. Mums with young kids are the ones that have this show on. They will be like, wow thats better than the wii lets get it. And the way the media is clinging to this here in UK, Natal should sell by the bucket load at least in the UK.

Or they may be like "why do we need another one of these things? We already have one".

natal is going to be a bigger flop than the movie Ishtar. At least in its 360 iteration.

I'll bet you a whole year avatar control that Natal will double 360 sales worldwide or more. The media have a hold on this one. And M$ will advertise this more than Halo 3 got advertised. Just watch. I know loads of people already who want this new true motion technology and Minority Report style device.

Alright.

@meaman79

yup

lol easiest bet EVER!

Yeah, it is getting some nice press, but let's wait until we are actually close to release. That is the one key difference between Sony and M$'s motion tech, Sony's is much more simple, so can be released by this Spring

mike_intellivision posted a write-up from PC World that contained the following ...

However, Microsoft also provided a video showing off other uses for Natal including a martial arts fighting game, a Pole Position-style racing game and some kind of Godzilla meets Pokemon rampage fantasy. But in the Natal demo video Microsoft was quick to state that the games shown were a product vision and that actual features and functions may vary.

Exactly! Thank goodness there is a voice for reason and sanity here. I will not be convinced Natal can work as demonstrated until I see an actual product being used by actual people. There are simply too many variables with lighting, distance, and interference due to other people, pets,  and children moving around the home and making noise to make something like this really workable in any complex capacity at this time. I'm just not seeing how Microsoft made a technological leap to a product that'll sell for just a few hundred dollars, while billions of dollars are being spent in game development and Hollywood by companies still using green screens and mo-cap suits. Something doesn't compute here. I don't doubt Natal can work in some capacity, I'm just suspicious that everything will ultimately work as well as teased in the videos.

I'll get a little more excited when I see proof that "product" Natal actually works like "Project" Natal's teaser trailers.

I'll take it too =P I believe its too early for a full doubling of console sales for the 360. Next generation is where its gonna shine. Still, the concept Porject Natal is working for has never been done even decently before, and this looks to register all movements of your persona. From a report I read, 'it is able to track all movements down to a pinch by your fingertips'.

So, well, its possible. If they continue THIS kind of publicity from huge news venues around the world, it just might boost massive sales.

GOTY Contestants this year: Dead Space 2, Dark Souls, Tales of Graces f. Everything else can suck it.

This could double or triple 360 sales worldwide.

*facepalm*

Will you take my bet on the sales when it hits?

Go ahead and settle on exactly how much you think it'll boost sales, and I'll take your bet.  Unfortunately, I'm about to leave the office..but I'll be back.  Figure out your bet and post your conditions, and I'll be back to confirm it.  PM me a link if you don't mind, or the conditions altogether..I'll put something in my sig for it=P

ok your serious. Well how about this, average 360 sales ww 120k so 250k average per week from now on? I mean your betting that the publicity alone can double the sales, even before games are announced?

“When we make some new announcement and if there is no positive initial reaction from the market, I try to think of it as a good sign because that can be interpreted as people reacting to something groundbreaking. ...if the employees were always minding themselves to do whatever the market is requiring at any moment, and if they were always focusing on something we can sell right now for the short term, it would be very limiting. We are trying to think outside the box.” - Satoru Iwata - This is why corporate multinationals will never truly understand, or risk doing, what Nintendo does.
