oh the enws & press is receiving NATAL very well

everyones saying its a wii killer

You spelled news wrong.

Everyone said KZ2 will be a Halo 3 killer but it wasn't.  KZ2 do beat Halo 3 in graphics but not in sales.  Just because everyone say it's a Wii killer don't mean it will be.  Why pay $200 for Natlal when you can get a Wii around the same price with the same type of thing.

Funny guy.

You're funny :p

To put it blatantly, you're a fool if you think this will change things for the 360.

Here's why.

(1) Simultaneous multiplayer. VERY difficult to pull off, if even possible, with this type of technology.

(2) No physical control of any sort.
-Means no way to play 99% of traditional videogames with this tech.
-Also means people won't be able to "feel" anything they're doing. You think the Wii is casual? This steps beyond casual and goes straight for "complete slacker".

(3) VERY expensive price-point to get involved. $200 for the cheapest Xbox + $200 for the Natal + $50-60 for the first game. Casual gamers aren't interested in paying nearly $500 to play motion control games when they can do the same, in their eyes, for $250 and get more games. Which reminds me...

(4) GUARANTEED lack of support from third-parties. You've seen the trouble the Wii has had, and it's not even hard to code motion control for. This thing... will see maybe five decent third-party games come out for it before the end of the generation...

(5)...which is the fifth reason this will fail - the end of the generation is far too close now. By the time this actually hits the market, we'll be well beyond the "point of no return". The Wii has earned its reputation, as has the Xbox 360. The public has its opinion of all the machines, and a too-late motion controller won't change that.

If Microsoft wants to use this to their advantage in any way, they'll need to package it with the Nextbox from launch. That is the ONLY way this can help them.

Same with Sony's goofy wand.

Well if this news is correct, http://www.vgchartz.com/forum/thread.php?id=75386&page=1 , MS is using the news by itself to dislodge Wii interest. That alone means they are using it to their advantage though whether there is a significant affect is debatable.

“When we make some new announcement and if there is no positive initial reaction from the market, I try to think of it as a good sign because that can be interpreted as people reacting to something groundbreaking. ...if the employees were always minding themselves to do whatever the market is requiring at any moment, and if they were always focusing on something we can sell right now for the short term, it would be very limiting. We are trying to think outside the box.” - Satoru Iwata - This is why corporate multinationals will never truly understand, or risk doing, what Nintendo does.

The main point here is that this news might be fresh now, since E3 is going on, but they quickly forget what they reported a day or 2 ago for the current news. Since NATAL wont be available for a year or more, the major stations will have long forgotten about it, as will any potential interest. The target audience for NATAL is geared towards casuals and super-tech people. The super-techs will remember, but they likely already are 360 or PS3 owners. The casuals have a 3 day consumer attention span. If they don't get reminded of it, its out of their heads within 3 days. Thus, all the E3 news will be dead to them by the weekend.

I don't deny that Natal looks cool, I just dont see it being the "Wii-killer" that a certain fanboy screams it out to be. It'll have its use for the 360 fanbase, but the casuals wont make the transition.

If I were you I wouldn't be throwing stones at someones spelling or grammar.  You have several problems in your own posts.

Most of the people who were claiming KZ2 to be a Halo killer were fanboys, most people with half a brain knew that it wouldn't happen.  The people calling this a Wii killer are from the press and they are wrong as well.  All Natal will do is basically lay the foundation for having this come standard in the next Xbox.  And you can't blame Microsoft for trying to get some of the bugs worked out of it before it starts producing millions and millions of these things.

Sony are going after what the Wii is doing already so its going to be hardest for them

As for MS, they are doing completely their own thing and with a winning set of original titles, they could get the thing to become a hit a la Eye Toy.

Again that was something that was completely new and was bundled with a killer app on a popular system, MS could do something as good

One of the reason he would hate Nintendo because he's British. Britain sucks compared to USa and most other countries. What about Ubisofts eye camera your shape, this will slow Natal down.

LMAO!!! your very deluded if you really think that, great way to get yourself banned.......
