Oh and btw Mario multiplayer = fun with people in the room.. Seriously you want to play mario with people you're not with?

I think we really need to get over this online thing.. Some games should have it and some shouldn't. This is one that shouldn't.

Because they wanted to know how Nintendo felt about last E3.

Playing Super Mario Bros online while talking through WiiSpeak doesn't sound very fun for me...

Give me a solid multiplayer mode instead, like in Chip'n'Dales for NES. Best coop ever.

Why did nobody ask about Pikmin 3?? There better be follow up interviews with smart people doing the interviewing cause damn!

Also I wanna see that picture of Link :P

There you go. Somone did ask. I want a trailer!
IGN: You didn't show Pikmin 3, which is what we were expecting you to show. That kind of surprised us. Why not?

Reggie: Matt, we're all about surprises. We will show that game when it's ready. At the right time. Close to when it's going to be launched. It's not there yet. But Mr. Miyamoto still has his roundtable to do, so maybe you'll see. Maybe you might get that surprise after all.

It's a heart rate monitor, the type your can get at a dollar store.

Even their casual games are going to need to develop depth as the market begins to become a "red ocean" with the PSEye wand, Natal and third party competition on their own console.

Ubisoft is making a Wii Camera game and Nintendo is releasing a heart rate monitor.

1 - You ignored my original explanation of use - Sure, you can get a HRM frm the store, but can you get one that interactis with Wii Fit Plus, and in turn reports how many calories you've burned off in the 30 minute exercise session you just had? That's a simple interactivity.

2 - The market hasn't become a "Red ocean", and wont for a while. Natal is in its infancy and left more people confused than anything else. This was a MS damage control announcement. The PS3 wand was even less credible, hell the guys even got laughed at for failing to get the device started. These products won't show up till mid next year at soonest, if the projects continue on at all. The PS3 control will have to dramatically change shape yet, as the overall device structure impedes on the Wii Remote patent. There's at least a good year or 2 before this device is fully functional.

3 - Ubisoft worked with Nitnendo directly for the camera. The interesting thing is, since its not officially out yet, they can go back and enhance their camera to work within a more 3d space like Natal does.

Is anyone else thinking Eternal Darkness: Sanity's Requiem? Imagine the sanity meter being based on your own heart rate!

I actually suggested that elsewhere earlier today. Heartrate linked to the sanity meter. Would be awesome. And Id kill for a new Eternal Darkness

While the game will still be fun with friends in the same room, online is a necessity nowadays. They can't allow themselves to do another mistake like that! :/

I think certain games must have online and others don't really need them. A FPS without online and only local multiplayer is a step backwards but games like NSMB Wii I think the real fun comes from playing with people next to you... with friends. I love the internet and the possibility of connecting people... even the possibility of watching a conference when you are 1000 miles away from where it takes place but also doing certain things "online" alienates people. I prefer to gert together with friends and play games... we can talk and do a lot of things while playing games. It's no just about playing, it also about having fun together... sharing something. That why you prefer to go to the movies with someone instead of going alone, that why we do a lot of things with someone. To share something.

Ah, didn't know that. But it's good to know I'm not alone!

I always thought the people who complain the most about online (aside from blatant trolls or whiner who only complains, as opposed to more legitimate complain) lacks friends or any other acquaintances, family, etc, to play with them.
