:)  yes this one is less cartoony, but I didn't base my opinion on that pic alone.

That's because for as much as they've improved the graphics in general, Turn 10 still has a problem with lightning. Anyways, they've got a gameplay video on their website (replay, ofc) and the game's looking ace.

Honestly, I don't know yet which one is better since neither is available yet but 5 years without nothing to chew on but CGI and a pay-for-demo is unacceptable. But hey if that and hope is enough to make you happy, the more power to you (not specifically jaaaul, just "the reader").

Both games look awesome. WRC in GT is awesome but you can have Nascar. My question is when are we going to see this game? I am looking to get a 360 or a PS3 later in the year and the Forza/GT comparison will be one of the issues on which i base my decision so i will be watching this space closely.

I think what it really comes down to is that forza is not good enough to make a PS3 owner buy a 360 and GT5 is not good enough to make a 360 owner buy a PS3. They are both great but not that much better that the other.

This is what GT5p a 2007 game looks like and forza3 can't even match that.  And no doubt Forza3 is in a lower native resolution too.  I have no pics of GT5.

The entire Trailer of GT5 trailer had no physical gameplay. Also the first half was entirely CGI. The second half where the graphic level obviously downgrades is replay mode. To be honest The videos above show Forza 3 better graphically. The cars just look better.

Also Nascar might mean alot in America, but in Europe where GT and Forza 3 will sell better Nascar doesnt mean anything.

And to be honest the whole feature set of Forza 3 is leagues ahead of GT5. Community, customization and HD Video editing. Personally I think Sony pulled showing gameplay of GT5 after seeing Forza 3 yesterday. Because graphically the in engine 'enhanced' replay segment of GT5 looked worse than Forza 3's. The cars are close, but the environments are far more detailed in Forza 3.

This following shot is taken from replay mode just like the GT5 trailer. This is Forza 3. Find a GT5 photo in replay mode actually racing that looks as good. Now this is completely fair to compare these shots to GT5 trailer. As both are enhanced in exactly the same way. Meaning neither look as good in Gameplay. From what Ive seen Forza 3 wins graphics and features. GT5 wins Tracks and Cars out the box. You do realise that DLC can add more cars and tracks right guys? IMO it's silly for Sony to wait another 12 months to release a game with more content than Forza 3 out of the box, but by the time it's out Forza 3 will have had loads of DLC cars and tracks by then.

 

This is replay mode? Hell where is the driver in pic one???? Maybe he/ she is just off for a piss? Lol

Until now i never thought of buying a Forza title, that  has changed after this E3.

Until now i always bought a full GT title, that will never change after any E3.

Please people don't debate with Selnor, you may win in one thread but he'll come back in the next thread claiming the next 360 exclusive is the "best looking game ever", it never ends with him.

LOL. Watch this. LOL. GT5P doesnt come anywhere near close mate. Side by side with yours. Both your GT5P shots are from picture mode and so are these Forza 3 shots. So it's fair. Seriously. GT5P is owned as is GT5 Trailer.

Now this is better.  Look at the more detailed background and the cars look more relealist not cartoony.

Forza 3s environments look FAR superior to GT5s. This gives just about every part of Forzas graphics the advantage over GT5s. It just looks better on the eyes. sure the cars look about the same in gt5 as they do in forza 3 but the environments completly demolish GT5 and that is a big reason why Forza looks more realistic IMO anyways believe what you want



I mostly play RTS and Moba style games now adays as well as ALOT of benchmarking. I do play other games however such as the witcher 3 and Crysis 3, and recently Ashes of the Singularity.
