Forums - Website Topics - The GT Trolling thread, Why?

I would like to know which mod locked/removed my thread about GT's trolling.

Considering the fact that he requested it and he specifically posted in the thread asking for it to stay and that there was no flaming or anything close to it in the thread I don't see why it was removed or deleted. It was a fair debate brought up by the person whose comments were being reviewed. It seems as of late this site is allergic to any debate on a controversial topic, I think this one served a damn good purpose to show the community what a troll is.

If people aren't going to be held to account for their posts then why the hell do we even have mods? The guy admits in several posts that he has multiple accounts and nothing is done? So when someone from the community finally does something we lock it and remove it?

I know you guys don't feel the need to account for your actions to the community so at least have the courtesy to send me a PM. Honestly considering the recent debate about moderators specifically I don't see how this is any different. Its a debate about the actions of a person and that person is willing to have the discussion, I see absolutely no difference between this and the thread about moderators that was allowed to proceed. A thread that I defended you in I might add.

This is cencorship plain and simple.

edit: I will also add that the thread was in the off-topic section, and was put there intentionally.

Nice way to become a troll, Sqrl.

Wouldn't this be more prudent to pm the mod directly. All you had to do was actually read the thread to see who locked it.

not sure whats worse, you not letting it die or Shams actually responding to it as a mod in the original thread. Holy crap when mods are taking part in such threads this place needs a revamp badly. just my opinion.

Loool you are trolling like GT now. Why you just didn't send the mods a pm XD.

And then the people don't understand that some members wants new mods.

The thread was deleted from what I can see, so how would I see who locked it?

maybe im just used to more mature forums or more mature/professional mods but when a mod actually approves a thread of that type and contributes actually telling the accused poster hes banned next time he "trolls" when 90% of what was brought up was NOT trolling at all......yikes.

I just looked it up. Stof locked it.

 Here's his quote

"I realize that both parties have requested that the thread stay open. But that doesn't actually make the thread any more acceptable. This is a pointless pissing match. And it's over now."

Oh feel free to explain whats so awful about the thread,

Thats an open invitation to Super_etecoon, stever, etc..

The guy has been running around the site posting this stuff for ages and he is avoiding bannings with multiple accounts. So when he asks me to prove he is a troll I do it and now I am the bad guy for insisting that he eat his crow? This is no different than the crow eating thread which all of you seem to enjoy quite a bit, what has changed now?
