THQ is still in business? This company brings out horrible wrestling games and pretty much nothing else.

Admittedly, THQ hasn't been the best thing to happen to consoles. But I actually consider THQ one of the top publishers of PC games. Their RTS games on PC are awesome. Company of Heroes is the best RTS game ever, period. The Dawn of War series is really good too.

Actually, Red Faction is another great game that they produced... for consoles. The sequel is due out any day now and the reviews have been really good. I don't think you should  hate on THQ for not making quality Wii games. No one (other than Nintendo) has really contributed anything exceptional to the "library" of "hardcore" games for the Wii. Perhaps this guy is just voicing the feelings of alot of developers and publishing studios.

is amazing how no matter how many developers say this, wii fans now better.

So game companies are just full of fanboys that dont want to make money so they are trolling on the wii?

Yeah Red Faction 2 looks good, didnt realize it was a THQ product, kind os surprising because their usual game quality ranks arount a 70% at best.

As for your last statement, don't count out Capcom with RE5 and Umbrella Chronicles for "core" games on the Wii. The truth of the matter is that developers are pushing towards Wii development, not away from it like this guy seems to be doing.

Of course, this can just be another voice that will have to apologize in 2 years, like the one guy working on Spore that called the Wii "2 gamecubes duct-taped together". He changed his tune within a year.

Proud Sony Rear Admiral

I really don't care for THQ games, honestly.
Deadly Creatures was totally not worth it. I should sell it now that they're giving me this crap.

No, game companies are full of people who don't know how to innovate and are running their own companies into the ground.

"Pier was a chef, a gifted and respected chef who made millions selling his dishes to the residents of New York City and Boston, he even had a famous jingle playing in those cities that everyone knew by heart. He also had a restaurant in Los Angeles, but not expecting LA to have such a massive population he only used his name on that restaurant and left it to his least capable and cheapest chefs. While his New York restaurant sold kobe beef for $100 and his Boston restaurant sold lobster for $50, his LA restaurant sold cheap hotdogs for $30. Initially these hot dogs sold fairly well because residents of los angeles were starving for good food and hoped that the famous name would denote a high quality, but most were disappointed with what they ate. Seeing the success of his cheap hot dogs in LA, Pier thought "why bother giving Los Angeles quality meats when I can oversell them on cheap hotdogs forever, and since I don't care about the product anyways, why bother advertising them? So Pier continued to only sell cheap hotdogs in LA and was surprised to see that they no longer sold. Pier's conclusion? Residents of Los Angeles don't like food."

"The so-called "hardcore" gamer is a marketing brainwashed, innovation shunting, self-righteous idiot who pays videogame makers far too much money than what is delivered."

I think I summed up this gen so far. IMHO, shitty devs and shitty publishers are to blame, even when nintendo blocks its own publication to let them some space. Such comments makes me sick

Summed up perfectly.

Bet between Slimbeast and Arius Dion about Wii sales 2009:

If the Wii sells less than 20 million in 2009 (as defined by VGC sales between week ending 3d Jan 2009 to week ending 4th Jan 2010) Slimebeast wins and get to control Arius Dion's sig for 1 month.

If the Wii sells more than 20 million in 2009 (as defined above) Arius Dion wins and gets to control Slimebeast's sig for 1 month.

So, THQ is making a mmo for the Wii... err I mean Big Huge Games is making a mmo for the Wii?

I'm Unamerica and you can too.
