Wow, it would be totaly awesome if FFVII comes to the American Playstation store. I played Crisis Core till death and I loved it, but I actually never played the main game FFVII.
Is it still worth to play it for newcomers?

are you serious? well my friend its time to drop whatever game it is you are currently playing and get ready for what is possibly the best game ever made.

You will love it as long as you are not a graphic whore.

I would like to see 8 or 9. The less hyped games. I would like to give those ones a try.

Final Fantasy VII passed the stage of hype the day it got released in 1997.
A 12 year lasting world wide popularity is not what you usually call a hype.

''Hadouken!''

I take it this one will be $9.99 as well. Awe well, i will still buy it.

Umm.. no.

:P

I dont really care for DLC, but if this will drop the rediculously high priced cost of the disk version, Im all for it.

Getting an XBOX One for me is like being in a bad relationship but staying together because we have kids. XBone we have 20000+ achievement points, 2+ years of XBL Gold and 20000+ MS points. I think its best we stay together if only for the MS points.

Nintendo Treehouse is what happens when a publisher is confident and proud of its games and doesn't need to show CGI lies for five minutes.

It'd be about time. I never get why there is such a space between downloadble games that were released in all territories.

Time to sell my copy.

Don't trust this source, they have no idea what they're on about
http://vgchartz.com/games/index.php?&results=50&name=&console=&keyword=&publisher=&genre=RPG&order=Sales&boxart=Both&showdeleted=&region=All&alphasort=

1) Popular =/= best-selling

2) "Generally considered" =/= quantitativly justified fact

3) Pokemon's are not considered to be "classic" style JRPG's; Final Fantasy VII is.

4)And, I mean, come on, that's not a "source"; it IS considered to be the most popular role-playing game ever (for better or for worse) by practically everyone.

Crusty VGchartz old timer who sporadically returns & posts. Let's debate nebulous shit and expand our perpectives. Or whatever.

Hasn't pretty much everyone on earth played through this? Is it going to be a remake or just a port?

On that  note, why does every old game need a remake? Granted booting up FF7 in my PS1 the game does not hold up visually, but why waste another 40-60 hours of your already short life playing through a game you already know the story to?

I get remakes like Zero mission on GBA, the story in that didn't exist and was added in the remake, along with everything else being altered both visually and fronm a gameplay perspective. Add to that it's not a 40+ hour game.

I'd much rather play through something new.

This thread does not need to become FFVII hate/love war.

The reason why so many people want a remake it's that they feel that it'll give new gamers a chance to experience a game that they loved very much.

To me that's complete bullcrap. Seriously, if bad graphics are enough to make you not like a game (and I mean any game), well then... fuck you and your graphic whore taste in gaming.
