If you were expecting PS3 exclusive Heavy Rain to arrive some time this year, you can think again. Geoff Keighley Who Hates Bloggers has confirmed that, despite Sony's David Reeves calling it the most important title of 2009, Quantic Dream's Heavy Rain won't see the light of day until 2010.

While this news will be seen as very expected by some, it doesn't take away from the fact that Sony's apparent hot year of exclusive titles has been a little disappointing compared to what we expected at the top of 2009. As last year drew to a close, we were looking at Killzone 2, inFAMOUS, Heavy Rain, MAG and God of War III. Now Heavy Rain and GoW III are confirmed for 2010, and it'll be surprising if MAG doesn't join them. 

This is the big problem with the PS3. Its hottest exclusives are excellent games, but they are few and far between. The PS3 user experience seems to consist of a lot of waiting around while listening to promises, and it's really quite frustrating. Still, it's doing a little bit better than the Xbox 360 right now, so that's something.

If this is true, it will be interesting to see what SONY have for Christmas.

They cant just depend on FF13

Yeah he mentioned it at the end of a Heavy Rain video posted a few days back.

I guess for the holidays, Sony are going to rely on R&C, Uncharted 2, and possibly MAG.

When they confirmed GOW III for 2010?

That sucks although I'm not that interested in HR. And GOW 3 isn't confirmed for 2010, Sony are giving it a date at E3.

Push GT5 out as fast as possible

They need something big this year... or they will end up like 11Million behind 360.

Perhaps God of War 3 will take its spot for the holiday 09 spot?

Some Sony bigwigs have touted it will hit later this year? Who knows?

This is great news and bad news.

Its terrible to see Sony hype a game up then delay it late.
Its great news as I already have too many games I want this year. Now this means I can get them all.

Another thought is that maybe Sony are delaying this game on purpose, putting one of their big hitters in instead. Its going to get very crowded come fall, I mean Uncharted 2, Assassins aCreed 2, Modern Warfare 2, Tekken 6, and the possibility of GT5 / GoW3 amongst alot more.
