Doesn't really matter to me, confusion is confusion or was I the only one confused about someone being hyped for something they don't care about.

Yes I am.

Because Nintendo have something very good up their sleeves. Compare the current sales numbers (way down year on year) with the financial forecast they just made (sales flat year on year and at peak manufacturing level).

It means they know for sure they have a great second half coming.

Can't wait to find out what it is.

I sure hope Nintendo has a few big ticket items up its sleeve. They may have sold a lot of consoles, but they need to support it properly. I have always been a huge Nintendo supporter but they need to step up.

Nintendo has done what for them is a mea culpa regarding last year -- so I think it plans to offer a bit more "red meat" to the OGE (obsessive gaming enthusiast -- formerly known as "hardcore" gamer).

Of course, everyone talks about last year as if it was a total failure. The first party Wii games featured that have been released have sold between 2.5M and 3.0M worldwide. Many of the third-party Wii games are at or near 1M or more. And the general writer for the AP loved it (the gaming writer for the AP loathed it).

In other words, there is the public who buys the Wii and then there is the gaming public that have Wiis. These two groups do not often agree.

Back to the OP -- I think Nintendo will have a surprise or two that people like/want/will buy. I plan to watch the presentation live at home with both TV and computer fired up.

I like to jump around, and would lead a fairly serene and aimless existence if it weren't for my friends always getting into trouble. I love to help out, even when it puts me at risk. I seem to make friends with people who just can't stay out of trouble.

I don't know, their two main games last year were Animal Crossing and Wii Music. I was embarassed as a Wii owner when they busted those two out as their main holiday sellers.

Even though Nintendo's showing sucked last year, I think thats part of the reason why I'm hyped for this year. They want to redeem themselves. I'm hoping for a Zelda, Mario or a new, awesome franchise.

I'm excited. If I end up disappointed, that's my fault, lol.

I'm not sure I would say I was hyped, but I do want to know what the holiday release schedule will look like. Even if it is just Pikmin 3, that would be great for me.
