My bingo score

You mean they wrote that bullshit article and still didn't get BINGO?

Hey, replace O5 with G1.  I mean if they're going to keep moving the goal posts, we should be able to arrange the Wii Bingo board, right?

Who coined Wii Bingo? Malstrom?

Bet between Slimbeast and Arius Dion about Wii sales 2009:

If the Wii sells less than 20 million in 2009 (as defined by VGC sales between week ending 3d Jan 2009 to week ending 4th Jan 2010) Slimebeast wins and get to control Arius Dion's sig for 1 month.

If the Wii sells more than 20 million in 2009 (as defined above) Arius Dion wins and gets to control Slimebeast's sig for 1 month.

Anyone who thinks the DS is contributing to "killing" hardcore gaming is seriously deluded. I'm going to go back to playing Fire Emblem - I have about 10 other RPGs I want to play after this so I may be busy for a while.

Currently dreaming of: DKC4 or Sonic the Hedgehog 4 (classic 2D platformers) for WiiWare, Smash Bros. for DSi, New Super Mario World for DSi, a Wii remake or true sequel of Final Fantasy Tactics.

One down, hopefully more awesomeness to come.

well, the DS is a lot more uh, I hate that term so I'm not gonna type it, it's got more variety of games vs the PSP( also a ton more.)

The DS is one of the poster children as to why talk like this is ridiculous. The same talk the same bull shit articles were popping up, the same fad talk. I mean the PSP was supposed to dominate the DS and early on it had some weeks or months ahead, mainly when the DS was experiencing a gaming drought. Then the flood came and WAM 100m units.

Plagued with "mini games" and "casual crap" the DS is now the darling of the industry. With perhaps the most diverse gaming library in the history of any system, handheld or console. But no way will the Wii have a similar situation, even though everything occuring is damn near identical. I honestly think the only difference is that the Wii has two competitors in the console market and the DS has on competitor in the handheld market.

Yeah, it was him.

@Viper1: I was thinking about making a new board with some of the arguments used now a-days. I might try it on other articles and threads I see.

Unfortunately I have to agree with you here, the DS attracts so many developers because it is the handheld that sells software and developers want to sell software, but in the Wii's case developers can try to bust in to what is atleast percieved as being a "Nintendo and only a few others sell well" game or they can make a multiplat for the PS3/360 - while they will probably not make as much off the HD multiplat because of the high development cost to low sales ratio it feels easier for the developer. But Nintendo is doing a lot to combat this mentality and we the gamers are getting a bunch of good games out of it so yeah!

One funny thing about the accusation that Nintendo is killing hardcore gaming.

I didn't purchase a console in the last generation, and my PSOne was bought used from my roommate.

I only purchased a Wii because I played WiiSports at a friends and loved how unique the controller structure is.

Of course, my favorite games that I have invested the most time on the Wii are what you might call hardcore games: MP3, Zelda, SMG.

I have plenty of casual games (Warioware, Boom Blox, etc.) and those are great when you have 15 minutes or have friends over, but if not for Nintendo creating a unique gaming system that was also affordable to draw me in, I probably would have sat out this generation.

Now Playing: Pikmin, Super Mario Galaxy 2

Bingo.
