The very first time I got on 2.0, it was slow. Now, even my Wii can run it without a problem. Strange, huh?

Perhaps that has something to do with the DS running Opera... *coughs*

I just tried with Chrome. The page took just as long to load.

I just tried with Firefox. The problem is mostly the slow scrolling, and it also took a bit more to display the page initially.

Worse than that was waiting 30 seconds for Firefox to load (it's been getting more and more sluggish).

it should be the Java Script creating trouble for u, what u need is to switch to IE momentarily, reinstall FireFOX latest version with updates and try again. If still problem persists resort to IE.

much slower indeed... i'm thinking of lowering post count from 25 to 10 because of that.... and it is also on my newer comp (last summer) so it's definitely an issue with the site...

Long loads might be caused by some badly written ads. Some of those can load ages.

I see. But to load / go through the whole history at startup is just bad programming that I won't put up with if possible.

The header bar (which is flash) has been known to cause problems in the past (before beta), and may be what is causing your problems now. I believe that ioi is replacing it so it will no longer be flash.

My FF hasn't crashed since pre-beta when I pointed out where the problem was occurring.

As for FF being junk, I also think FF needs to improve. FF crashes like crazy after I close it and the process just sits there so it refuses to open again. I then have to open task manager and slay the process. I also have an issue where if I put my PC to sleep then wake it back up, FF will block all internet access until I slay the process. IE and Chrome have never given me that problem.

I only use FF because I like the plug-ins that I have.
