Forums - Website Topics - NSX's GameDB 2.0 Bugs, Suggestions, and Feedback

I'm creating this thread to flesh out any bugs, as well as voice out any concerns, suggestions, and feedback for the GameDB of VGChartz 2.0 that I've encountered thus far. I've aded 3 FAQs and so far I've bumped into a fair share of things that need to be voiced.

  • Bugs

  1. FAQ Page's + and - to add and remove hints occassionally disappear, appear, or never appear at all. I'm certain this is not intentional. It appears to occur at random, whenever your adding or removing extra hints. So far it hasn't been a critical error.

  2. Also, if you notice below. The numbering below is kinda messed up. I have no idea what caused it. (edit - Tried editting to fix the error, but attempts to remove the 1.'s floating around have resulted in the entire sentence to be erased.)

  3. Using bullets and numbers in posts mess up the formatting! So far it seems.

  • Suggestions

    1. Users need the power to edit their own FAQs, I've accidently finalized a hint that was not complete and see no way of modifing it without contacting the GameDB admin.

    1. More Values, in increments of .50 each.

    1. Larger and more Heavily weighted entire walkthoughs, costing maybe 10, 20 or upwards to 50 VGC$ each. Used for entire portions of the game, as opposed to smaller hints about the game.

    1. Change the VGC$ reward for FAQs from .25 flat rate to .10 or .5 per hint. This encourages more sly hints instead of straight answers.

    1. A option to add FAQs anonymously. I know that we're all contributing, but one of the biggest features I liked about VGchartz 1.0 is editting GameDB pages without worry of being sassed by peers.

    1. Feedback

    1. While I'm overall impressed, the GameDB page, as well as the frontpage appear very slow to me. Could this be use of more heavy flash there?

    1. The entire page looks fantastic though, I love the banners overall. It's a bit of a race to get a banner up though.

Around the Network

Alright, I'm hoping a moderator notices this. But editting that post seems to constantly ADD extra paragraphs and spaces. I'll continue to add into this post as I uncover new bugs. Is anyone else encountering bugs like this?

Thanks Talonman. You've clearly been busy. Get some sleep. You'll need all the sleep you'll get for tomorrow's onslaught of bugs.
