, this is the only website I've encountered that forces me to actually scroll a bit to the right in order to see everything...this feels more like a regression than a progression...infact it files like a gamespot clone with the whole style....I really liked the old one in terms of looks.

Can we not mix some of the old with some of the new???.... for example I happen to like the new way the charts are built.  I happen to completely hate everything else from what I've seen so far.

Woah... just realized what the guy said that I'm quoting... edited for family viewing!

Prepare for termination! It is the only logical thing to do, for I am only loyal to Megatron.

LOVE LOVE LOVE IT

For people having problem with the space background image slowing down the site, I've found a way to get rid of it, if you're using Firefox.
Download an add-on called Adblock. After you've installed it, click on the background with the right button and then "adblock image". It's running at the same speed as the old one now.

Quem disse que a boca é tua?

Qual é, Dadinho...?

Dadinho é o caralho! Meu nome agora é Zé Pequeno!

ioi can you not put the old site back up for us? GoNintendo went through the same things last year and are now planning a new update shortly after E3. It seems like most people really do not like this new layout. I think it's in the sites best interest to be a little more user friendly. If a lot of people are having a hard time reading text. I suggest the site be either cleaned up or reverted.

no

Seriously guys, the staff are trying the best they can to make the site run like it used to be! They said that they would need to adapt and fix everything before E3, thus why they launched the layout now.

Random game thought :
Why is Bionic Commando Rearmed 2 getting so much hate? We finally get a real game and they're not even satisfied... I'm starting to hate the gaming community so f****** much...

Watch my insane gameplay videos on my YouTube page!

Whats wrong with it? Hes correct. It is better without the background. Hes helping ppl with slower comps. Nothing wrong wit that

Wow, I have a huge monitor & the website doesn't even come close to filling my screen horizontally. But I feel really bad for all the ppl that have to use the horizontal scroll bar to view everything on the page.

Personally, it's great for me but was there even any market research done on this issue? For a site that tracks sales & analyzes data I'm very disappointed by this. According to Alexa (http://www.alexa.com/topsites), the top 5 sites are google, yahoo!, youtube, facebook, & windows live. All of these sites have a smaller width than vgchartz currently does (coincidentally they all have white backgrounds as well).

The reason they do this is to make the site user friendly to everybody. There is no need to upstream the market to ppl with only large monitors like myself. Just look at the console race for example, there is a reason why Nintendo is winning ;)
