Forums - Nintendo Discussion - Official The Conduit Thread

Actually, I might change my friend code by making a new profile exclusively for VGChartz. That way, my VGChartz profile in The Conduit can have almost everyone from here as possible. Good idea Y/N?

(Yes this means you guys might have to readd me if you've already added me)

And my name might be ROFLINTR or something instead of Naoshi (my usual alias), since you guys only know me by the name "Roflinator". Might make things easier :P

Some people say that the lock-on feature is killing the fun in Multiplayer, because its making it easier to aim and to follow your enemy when hes strafing. Is that true? I mean, when it is true, it makes movement useless cause the shitty lock-on of your enemy follows you all time long. I also heard of people just jumping around all the time with the shotgun locking on others and one-hitting them cause the lock-on's precisition is good enough to kill them without additional aiming with that gun.

I just dont understand why they didnt remove that lock-on feature in the Mutilplayer, its absolutely not nessecairy.

I think the good outwigh the bad for it.  Everyone has access to it so it doesn't ruin it.  It's not like it's a homing lock for your bullets.  I think there is range limits, and you have to regain visibility if you loose the lock.  (Except for ASE and maybe hunters).

Could of been good if it was one of the votable options though.

HI everyone.

After having played SP and MP for a little while, I just dont think this game is for me. The MP is more Halo than I am used to. Granted there is a majority of peepls who will love this but I am not one of them. I have decided to stop playing this game. Here are some of my takeaways from the game.

Things I like most of the game are:

1.Controls
2. Customization
3. SFX (technical)
4. Character art (technical)

Things I like Least of the game:
1. Gameplay
2. Level Design
3. Environment visuals
4. Lighting
5. Aliasing (though this is pretty hugely important)
6. Online bugs
7.

I just got the game on Tuesday and have played it for a bit. Though I was very excited for the game to come out, it will now be my trade in for Wii Sports Resort. I am not trying to start an internet nerd flame conflagration just expressing my disappointment in the final product.

Here is hoping Grinder or Gladiator will be much better.

Back to COD WAW Wii.....

Some of the enviornment visuals and level design are better in later missions.  (Well, actually checkmate is the only one with a slightly better level design), but some do have better visuals.  I like the lighting, I think most modern games are too dark and grey.

Not sure I understand your complaint about aliasing.  Maybe it's your TV, as I see no probliem.

Does anyone here speak German..? Was just wondering what the German text says that's written above the stairs when you solve the puzzles to get to the secret weapons. It mentions Prometheus in the first paragraph.

Sucks I won't get a chance to put a slug in your butt. =(

sidenote: I don't know why, but I get dizzy when I play COD WaW...

The Interweb is about overreaction, this is what makes it great!

...Imagine how boring the interweb would be if everyone thought logically?

...You know what, I never noticed if people are using the Lock-on or not, lol. Tbh, I forgot you could do it. I more so look out for anyone doing something that the game "technically" doesn't allow you to do, lol. =p

Lock-on is fine. I never had problems with it in multiplayer.

I use it sometimes :P

But it is also a disadvantage, because you can't really turn when you have it on... you have to strafe... Also, you can't throw nades, and the other guy can do it too, and also, if you're being locked on, you can just duck behind a wall, and lock-on is instantly gone... and it doesn't work past like... 15 meters...

I dont use lock on. The ability to see the health meter is useful, sure, but it slows the gameplay for me. Besides, its a rarity that you face one guy at a time online.
