I wouldn't count on it selling 'fantastically'. It will definitely sell better than Indigo Prophecy, probably two million or more, but don't expect it to light up the Chartz for too long after release.
That said, this looks damn awesome. A few years ago, when I admittedly had an irrational hatred of the PS3, this was the one game I was jealous of. And now, since I have the system, I need be jealous no more

Hey, I was pretty open about it
I now realize that it's pointless to just hate a system. I still feel I had legitimate reasons (such as "Five hundred and ninety-nine US dollars!"), but those issues have been fixed, so I like it now.
Anyway, it's pointless (and unhealthy) to just hate things.
Damn, those look unbeleiveable. I see they used real hollywood actors as inspiration for someone. I need this game right now, I need to be on the testing team or something. The detail in those rooms are fantastic, Its goona be sweet being able to interact with everything in those rooms .

Well maybe I can help, what exactly has worried you?
kowenicki said: @vetteman is it just narrative decisions and QFT?? almost like a traditional adventure game with qft thrown in to add some action? |
The QTE's are only there for the action parts, everything else you directly control what the character does, whether it is intereacting with other characters or the enviroment. This is done so the story can easily be controlled by the user, everythi you do, or dont do, will effect the end result. Does that help?
kowenicki said: @vetteman Not sure.... "interact" how? by reading and chatting, opening cupboards, checking under the bed etc etc etc? This is truly an interactive movie then??? |
Yes to all of the above
I hate to say this, and I hope CGI doesnt crucify me for this either, but for the lack of a better term yes it is an interactive movie. But I think that is only because of the emphasis that they put on the story, on how it can evolve and change through those interactions
yet another 1st day purchase for me.......if anyone who has played QD last game will know this kind of story driven adventure makes for a thrilling gaming experiance........i think unless gt5 misses 09 heavy rain might be grafix king this year
