I partially blame the Sony hype trains. If it wouldn't have been a title that Sony fans started obsessing over after Killzone 2 came out then I don't think that people would be so quick to call out the a game on sales and reviews....

I must say that logic like this escapes me.

Let me get this straight. Sony fans (in this case anyway) get excited about an upcoming exclusive game that looks to be a quality title.

In turn, those who dont like Sony feel they should try and discredit the game in any possible way (latch on to less than glowing reviews, talk about how it wont sell as much as a game in the same genre, etc.)

This action then serves to make shit that doesnt matter, actually matter (like a 7 from Eurogamer, which isnt bad considering MGS4 got an 8 there.)

And you blame Sony fans for being excited in the first place? Right. I guess PS3 fans have no right to be excited about their exclusives, while everyone else gets to be excited for theirs. Punch Out had people blowing their load over a fucking DK sighting.....No one asked them to calm down. I see people creaming over Alan Wake daily even though we barely know anything about it. Nothing's said. But oh gaming gods, dont get excited for a PS3 exclusive. You have committed the unholiest of forum sins.

Unless they review on a different scale than the rest of the industry, I think 7/10 is too low. I really enjoyed the demo (big GTA fan though I've never been able to finish one), looking forward to my preorder.

Eurogamer takes money from MS, does full page advertisement and then gives Fable 2 a 10/10. Though I suspect that has nothing to do with this score except that it proves that Sony needed to give them more money or something.

You forget about EDGE/Eurogamer standard +2 review modifier for british developed games.
