Forums - Nintendo Discussion - Square-Enix & Intelligent Systems Team Up

Square Enix and Intelligent Systems have signed up to co-develop six DSi titles!

Nintendo second-party Intelligent Systems and Final Fantasy creators Square Enix have announced that they are to work together on a whopping six DSi games.

The first and so far only announced title to release will be Dragon Quest Wars on DSiWare. The colourful title is in the strategy/board game genre and has series veteran Yuji Horii at the helm. Dragon Quest Wars features four-player local and online multiplayer and is due out in Japan this June.

Intelligent Systems is one of Nintendo's most successful divisions, responsible for critically acclaimed hits such as Advance Wars and Fire Emblem. We're excited!

Um... new Super Mario RPG plz? ._.

Could be good.

Epic team-up, but only so long as its not keeping IS from making something big.

Monster Hunter: pissing me off since 2010.

I wanna see a new Fire Emblem Wii within the end of the year, so, even though I'll buy a DSi for DQ Wars, please Intelligent, keep developing your amazing franchises too.

My thought exactly, since IS made the Paper Mario games.

A flashy-first game is awesome when it comes out. A great-first game is awesome forever.

Plus, just for the hell of it: Kelly Brook at the 2008 BAFTAs

OMFG this is huge. To oldschoolers who figure what Square and Intelligent Systems look like combined....Godlike. Can't wait for anything they release together. IS IS my favorite developer.

I don't need your console war.
It feeds the rich while it buries the poor.
You're power hungry, spinnin' stories, and bein' graphics whores.
I don't need your console war.

NO NO, NO NO NO.

Whoa, there hasn't been such an epic team-up since Chrono Trigger. This could end up being amazing.

Quem disse que a boca é tua?

Qual é, Dadinho...?

Dadinho é o caralho! Meu nome agora é Zé Pequeno!

Fire Emblem/Final Fantasy Tactics crossover. MAKE IT HAPPEN.
