It's more like PS3rd Life -_^b Second Life is already 3D.
When they get rid of all the people simulating masturbations and oral sex maybe... just maybe I'll return home.

I couldn't agree with you more. Maybe if they used all the time and resources they wasted on Home on producing actual games, their current position might not be as bad.
I think if you have alot of friends on the PS3, or are the member of a clan that likes to stay organised and just likes to hang out together, Home is for you. If your a very social person, Home is for you. If all your interested in is getting on your PS3 and jumping on a game, then Home isn't for you. I think Home is a worthwhile project for Sony, and long term it may very well have some very positive effects on the Playstation brand. Probably inot the PS4. For now tho home is growing and improveing, but is still very disjointed. They are trying a lot of different things in there, but not one thing is even close to being finished. Home is a process just like PSN is. Honestly I thin both Home and PSN for this gen is nothing more than a setup for the next go around for Sony. Right now more and more the PS3 feels more like a transition console.
No offense to Sony but I think home sucks. It is just a interactive sims with idiots in it.
I will stick to the games that come out on the PS3. If i want to socialise i'll do it in person.
Sony's biggest problem with Home is in their demographic. Home best resonates with social people interested in making friends and talking about their hobbies, particularly gaming, meanwhile creating a space that is unique to them that they can show off. In that sense it fills a similar role as Myspace, Facebook, Gaia Online, and Second Life.
The problem arises from the fact that most hardcore gamers (hardcore in the sense that they would shell out $400 for a console) tend to be relatively attention deficit and anti-social. Home doesn't cater to these people and it's these people who most often can't see the point in Home.
