When did the non-gaming media decide to starting charming in on the console wars? More and more traditional media outlets have been posting stories of this nature. Does the general public really care who wins the console war? Let alone to make it one of their front page headlines? Must have been a really slow news day.

i wonder if anybody is still tracking the GBA... if so, it would be the ultimate defeat for the PS3.

PS3 is doom everywhere as I see it. Last place console and most expensive console won't make it. Will go down as a Dreamcast and my beloved Sega Nomad.

 I completely agree.  But how many people really care how many units their system moved last month? 

If by doomed you mean it will sell maybe 10% fewer consoles than the 360 by the end of this gen, then yes it is doomed.

Well people care about movies that flop at the box office and shows that are cancelled after 1 season, it's quite common to see this kind of notes in other media.
