I acquired some NTSC games for my PS2 (fat), and those damn things did not work. :P Is it possible to play them with a bootdisk or something or do I need to buy a modchip?

I don´t know.Luckily I don´t need to import since re:com is coming to the ps2.
I have action replay for PS2, which I think allows me to play foreign games.
there is a memory card exploit which should do the trick.

I want to hijack you thread for a second :p
I have a regular US-NTSC PS2 game and back home I have a Modded PS2 I don't know really what's it's region because we get them from everywhere but for the sake if the argument let's say it's PAL will my US game work on my PAL modded PS2 ??
look at the back of your ps2 for a sticker like this
it clearly says beside PLAYSTATION 2 at the top left of the sticker if the console is "ntsc" or "pal" or "jap".
US games will work on your pal modded console (or vice versa), but they will need to be patched to work properly.

I have a PS2 here with me (not modded) but the one I'm talking about is back home with my brother
and how do you patch a PS2 game ??
Go get it chipped. Any second/third world country in Asia will do, if you can't find it in the West. India is particularly good. Malaysia and Indonesia are decent.
